Great kit, work really well
I really like the Shokz range. The battery life is good, they charge quickly, are very comfortable, work really well and have great sound quality. It's cool how the bone conduction process works. I wear them in all weather conditions, it doesn't matter if they get wet in the rain. They sit very securely on our head and won't fall off when running, even when trail running. They also sit nicely under my baseball style running hat or even when I have a head torch for winter running, so super comfy. I have them for running as it means I can listen to music and still hear everything around me so am quite safe, I can hear the traffic and other people too, great for park run and races where they allow headsets. I also use them when I travel on public transport, I can hear my music, podcasts etc but am still able to hear what's happening around me. I think this is a key personal safety element, I personally don't think you should deliberately wear noise cancelling devices on public transport as they can make you more vulnerable to issues that can occur and you will miss important announcements and information. I am able to accept incoming phone calls on them, but do find that occasionally the call will be lost, so would not recommend them as your only form of bluetooth phone headset.

Great headphones for voice and audible
I don't often leave reviews but I'm so happy with this product I'd like to recommend it These headphones are very comfortable to wear - the most comfortable headphones I have ever owned. I forget I'm wearing them even if I leave them on all day. They leave the ear entirely open, which is perfect for sports situations or environments where you would like to be able to maintain a conversation. I no longer get into trouble with my other half for wandering around with my noise suppression WH-1000XM4 on, since these I arrived I haven't used them. The audio quality is better than I expected and especially good for voice or audible recordings. The reduced low bass response makes them less good for music, but I was expecting that. In use as a headset it seems my voice is clear on calls, and the controls are limited but very tactile and easy to use. Multipoint pairing works well. A breakthrough product in my view, changed life for the better.

Excellent comfort and quality
Must admit, I'm very impressed with the comfort and quality of these. I wear these for running, short runs and long runs, and they are perfect. Really easy to charge and connect via bluetooth to a MP3 player. Never misses a beat. Most importantly, you can still hear the traffic and be aware of the environment aroudn you.

A worthy upgrade from older models, but not from OpenRun
I have upgraded from the earlier Trekz model bought in 2020, and the difference is evident. The new pair is much more comfortable to wear, more responsive to controls, is lighter and less bulky and the sound quality is also noticeably better. There, however, some downsides as well: 1. Proprietary charging cable supplied without a spare (unlike with cheaper OpenRun). Come on, there can be no excuses for that. 2. Dual pairing (e.g. with your phone and computer) is not completely straightforward: if one source is playing, and another starts playing as well, the latter would not be heard. If, however, you stop sound on the first device and unpause the second, it'll switch. This can be a limitation of the protocol, but is not explained clearly enough in the booklet or in the app. 3. The price jump is very noticeable. More than twice as expensive than I paid for Trekz 2 years ago. The app (which is apparently Open Run Pro exclusive) is mostly a gimmick, but has a option of firmware upgrade, and it can be very useful - IF any significant updates would indeed materialise in the future (not a given). Overall, it is a worthy upgrade from an old model or a first buy, but if you already happen to have another cheaper model from the same generation (e.g. OpenRun) I wouldn't bother. The difference between the two is not worth the extra ยฃ40.

Excellent running headphones
These are now my 3rd pair of Shokz headphones having now upgraded to these from the Openrun (non pro) version. They have in my opinion a better, more open sound than the previous with slightly enhanced bass response and cleaner sounding treble. For me worth the upgrade although some people may decide the previous generation are good enough to not warrant upgrading. I use these primarily for running as they are a must have to be able to confidently run on roads or in busy areas allowing me to hear my surroundings as well as my own breathing! I do sometimes wear them around the house so I can hear when I am being spoken to. At present bone conduction headphones will never โout doโ in ear type for sound quality and bass response and if you are considering these Open Run Pro headphones for this reason Iโm afraid you are missing the point, they cannot compete in this category alone. If quality is all you are after then I would suggest Sony, Bose, Apple etc. But if you will be using these for any form of exercise or cannot have things in your ears then I believe you will like these a lot. When I use them for running they never move at all and have been used in the rain with no problems. Battery life is very good as is the quality of the headphones themselves. All in a great open headphone which for me will continue to be my go to running headphones and Iโm sure I will upgrade when the next version comes out.

Amazing How The Technology Has Improved
I previously purchased the Aeropex in April 2021, unfortunately in May 2023 they died (wouldn't turn on, wouldn't charge, troubleshooting did nothing = it's dead Jim) a month outside the 2 year warranty *cries*. As I have used the Aeropex almost daily since purchase I wasn't too upset, but I did need to get a replacement ASAP. I settled on the Shokz OpenRun Pro because they seemed to be very similar to the previous generation Aeropex, on first use I was blown away by how much the bone conduction technology has advanced in the last 2 years. The Aeropex were pretty decent but featured little to no bass, the OpenRun Pro however does have a nice amount of bass - amazing for bone conduction. The volume range is great, as it was with the Aeropex, I can listen at just below half volume and hear both my music and my surroundings to ensure I'm not splattered by a car, perfect! I highly recommend these, if you've used previous generations you will be blown away by this generation of bone conduction tech; and I can't wait to see how the technology advances further in the coming years. If you've not used bone conduction products previously it can take a little getting used to, but it is IMO the safest way to enjoy music while out walking/running and still being completely aware of your surroundings.

These SHOKZ are a revelation!
I donโt normally write reviews but Iโm so impressed with these headphones I felt I should as I was unsure myself before purchasing them. Iโve tried every type of headphones to run in, AP pros, earbuds, in ear headphones that hook around the ear, wired etc but have always struggled with either moving and constantly pushing them back in, a muffled vibration when running and not being able to hear my surroundings. These openrun pros fix all of that. I read reviews that said the sound quality isnโt the best but itโs amazing considering these sit on the outside of your ear, you can hear cars behind, people speaking as you pass and can talk to running partners running next to you..all while the music is playing inside your head. No idea how the bone conducting tech works but itโs brilliant. People have also mentioned you canโt hear the music as well when in heavy traffic or passing loud roadworks etc but isnโt that the point. I found it was just finding a balance between the sound level and still being able hear traffic clearly. If your on the fence like I was I would highly recommend trying these, itโs hard to describe just how good they are. Fast charging, long battery life, super easy to set up and useโฆ one of the best pieces of training tech Iโve purchased!

Lightweight and effective
I brought these for running to give me a safer option when I need to be aware of my surroundings. I got them with a nice Prime Day discount so extra value for money. They take a little bit of getting g used to, having headphones sitting near your ears instead of wedged inside does feel alien to begin with. Once you get past this initial sensation the headphones are great, I can comfortable hear my music and podcasts with no quality sacrificed and at the same time I can hear traffic/bicycles/pedestrians. For example I can hear a faster runner coming up behind me which was not possible with my ear buds. Highly recommend every runner/cyclist give these a go

Still Going Strong After 4-5 Years โ My Favorite Bone-Conduction Headphones
I've been using Shokz bone-conduction headphones since they were still branded as AfterShokz Aeropex, and after roughly 4-5 years of ownership, they've proven to be one of the most durable pieces of tech I've purchased. Originally, I bought three pairs. One required warranty replacement during the first year, and another finally stopped working about a month ago. The remaining two are still functioning well today. My desk-use pair looks almost new, while my daily-use pair only shows minor cosmetic wear where the outer coating has started to peel slightly after years of use. How I Actually Use Them Unlike many reviewers, I don't use these primarily for sports. My main uses are: Daily commuting on public transit Lunch breaks and general everyday listening PC gaming sessions that often last 6+ hours and sometimes 12 hours or more on weekends Occasional music and phone calls For commuting, they do an excellent job maintaining clear audio even with city and bus noise around me. For gaming, they've honestly been fantastic. One of the biggest advantages is comfort. I don't experience the ear fatigue, pressure, or heat buildup that I get from traditional over-ear headsets. Despite being bone-conduction headphones, positional audio and directional cues such as footsteps are still easy to distinguish, and I've had no issues using them in competitive games. Battery Life Battery life has remained surprisingly consistent over the years. I haven't noticed any significant degradation, and I never find myself worrying about whether they'll last through the day. Canadian Weather I've worn them through Canadian winters, and interestingly, wearing a toque can actually improve the listening experience by holding the transducers closer to the head, making the sound feel fuller. I've also used them in light rain and light snow without issues, although I generally try not to expose electronics to bad weather longer than necessary. Warranty Experience I had to use the warranty once due to static and audio issues developing on one side of the headset. From what I remember, the process was straightforward. I explained the issue, and Shokz replaced the unit without charging shipping costs. It's been long enough that I don't remember whether they required the original headset to be returned. Comparison to Newer Models I've recently tested both the Suunto Wing and the OpenRun Pro 2. The Suunto Wing delivers impressive sound quality and is a strong competitor, especially considering its price. However, it doesn't reach the same volume levels that I've come to expect from the Aeropex/OpenRun generation. The OpenRun Pro 2 was more surprising. While the newer air-conduction technology may technically improve audio quality, I personally preferred the original listening experience. The newer design seemed to leak more sound, and the audio felt slightly more hollow to me. Even in Classic Mode, something about the tuning felt different from the Aeropex generation. Pros Exceptional long-term durability Extremely comfortable for extended wear No ear pressure or heat buildup during long sessions Reliable battery life even after years of use Great for commuting and maintaining awareness of surroundings Positive warranty experience Cons Outer coating can eventually show wear after years of heavy use Audiophiles may prefer traditional headphones for pure sound quality Newer Shokz models may not appeal to everyone who likes the original Aeropex sound profile Final Thoughts The biggest compliment I can give these headphones is that after 4-5 years of ownership and after trying newer alternatives, I still prefer them. They're comfortable, durable, reliable, and fit naturally into my daily routine. When my remaining pairs eventually give out, I'll likely buy another set.

Read the product details before buying.
To start with , this is an open ear partial bone conduction and partial air conducting headphones without any component obstructing the ear canal . this is the USP of the headphone and it cannot defy physics and give u an audiophile grade sound stage and clarity. The headphone does what it says it will and very well at that. i am a surgeon and i need a headphone on me to take calls when i am operating a case , but i cannot afford to not hear what others are talking in the operating theatre. i have tried over ear headphones with ambient mode and many other solutions, but nothing worked properly for me / were too bulky and distracting in the moment. so i went for this on recommendation of a surgeon friend of mine and it has been perfect for what i needed. i also use this to cycle and to listen to ambient music when i sleep, especially in hospital during breaks. i use this to listen to podcasts when doing household chores, and i use it when driving my older car which doesnt have hands free connectivity. And this has exceeded my expectations for what such a device has to do. Pros open ear sound clarity is good bone conduction works like a charm battery life the button placement is good and lets me pick up calls by pressing it on my shoulder when i am scrubbed in and also when my hands are dirty with household work. cons proprietary charger - but it is due to water proofing - third party chargers are available easily though and work well at louder volume levels - past midpoint - people around u can hear the sounds as it is not purely bone conduction. wife gets annoyed as she doesn't get an idea of if i am consuming media or simply wearing them :) App unavailable - had to download APK and install dual connectivity between tab and phone is buggy and unrefined - been 6 months and nothing has improved it, manually switching the connection every time i need to use it. overall i am not sure if it's value for money - but i got it during a sale - so i felt it exceeded my expectations for the price point. If it wasn't clear - this is not pure bone conduction - so u will still hear it playing if u leave it on a desk nearby in a quiet room.

Dang this is an incredible head set!
I ordered these headphones as a replacement for an cheap set I bought from a Facebook advertiser. These are true bone induction headphones. There is not sound that can be heard more than a few centimetres away, so they are perfect for wearing in quiet environments such as public transportation or libraries. The battery lasts a good long time, I work 10 hour shifts and have not had the battery run out. It is very fast to link to your Bluetooth device. The headset includes volume up and down buttons to control your device without digging it out of your pocket. Being a bone induction headset, your ears are open to hear what is going on around you, a safety feature you will appreciate out in public or in a working environment. This is one of the more expensive bone induction headsets on the market, but you are getting a solid build quality, excellent sound and long battery life. After using these daily for over a month, I have found no negative points to mention in my review.

Only two paired devices
Overall, it's a quality headset. However, there are two significant drawbacks. Firstly, only two devices can be paired simultaneously, which feels limited given its price point. Secondly, the waterproof rating is ambiguous. It's unclear whether it can withstand heavy rain, which, at this price, is a notable limitation.
