KOSMOS Cascadia In the heart of nature family game family game of the year 2022

This is a worthy winner of the coveted 2022 Spiel des Jahres. I bought the German version & have had little trouble understanding the cards that have text on. The English rules are widely available online & the game is pretty simple to grasp (if you play a lot of games that is). The iconography is clear. I initially held back on buying this game cos the art & colours did not appeal but I am so glad I did get it. It's lovely on the table. It has various levels you can play at from family to more complex goals. We picked it up straightaway. It's highly replayable as set up can vary each game cos you can mix up the goal cards for each species. It's a feel good game. There's even a campaign mode but I do need to print that in English to play. I'd have preferred the English version of course, but it was either too expensive or not available. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Lovely game. Easy to learn but takes longer to master. Bought this for a friend as we play ours at least once every day. Games take about 20mins once you know how to play.

Un de mes jeux préférés. On a adapté un peu les règles car un peu trop facile pour des adultes. On a rajouté l'extension. Chaque partie est différente. Un excellent jeu facile à comprendre.

Ich bin absolut begeistert von dem Spiel Cascadia - Im Herzen der Natur von Kosmos! Es ist kein Wunder, dass es das Spiel des Jahres 2022 geworden ist. Dieses Spiel hat unsere Familie komplett in seinen Bann gezogen und sorgt für unzählige Stunden voller Spaß und strategischer Herausforderungen. Cascadia ist ein Familienspiel, das sowohl für Erwachsene als auch für Kinder gleichermaßen geeignet ist. Das Spielmaterial ist wunderschön gestaltet und die Illustrationen sind einfach atemberaubend. Man bekommt sofort Lust, in die Welt der Natur einzutauchen und seine eigene Landschaft zu gestalten. Das Spielprinzip ist leicht zu verstehen, aber bietet dennoch genug Tiefe, um uns immer wieder zu fesseln. Ziel ist es, verschiedene Landschaften zu erschaffen, indem man Plättchen geschickt aneinanderlegt. Dabei müssen wir darauf achten, die passenden Tierarten anzulocken und Punkte zu sammeln. Es gibt verschiedene Strategien und Möglichkeiten, was das Spiel sehr abwechslungsreich macht. Besonders toll finde ich, dass Cascadia ein entspanntes Spielgefühl vermittelt. Man kann in Ruhe seine Züge planen und seine eigene Landschaft entwickeln, ohne Zeitdruck oder Stress. Das macht es zu einem idealen Spiel für gemütliche Familienabende oder auch für einen entspannten Spieleabend mit Freunden. Die Spielzeit ist angenehm, nicht zu kurz und nicht zu lang. Jede Partie bietet neue Herausforderungen und man will direkt noch eine Runde spielen. Alles in allem kann ich Cascadia - Im Herzen der Natur uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Es ist ein wunderschön gestaltetes Spiel, das Spaß für die ganze Familie bietet. Die Auszeichnung als Spiel des Jahres 2022 ist absolut verdient. Von mir gibt es volle fünf Sterne!
