Holy Land Market Men/Women Biblical Jesus Leather Sandals/Slides From Jerusalem (Shepherd's Field)

This is the 4th different pair that I have had of these type of sandels in the last 2 years. They have all started with a tight fit, which is good as the leather stretches some after wearing them for awhile. I use leather conditioner to help get rid of of the tightness as well as wear them around the house for a few days. This seems to do the trick.

I kept hunting for a pair of something nicer than just the routine flip flops, started looking at "holy land" type sandals and found these. First off, they're very well made. The straps are attached tightly and the overall workmanship is top notch. From a style standpoint, they really stand out in a crowd as something different. If I had one negative, be prepared to do some breaking in. The strap leather is a little stiff so the "between the toes" straps take some wear to soften up and be comfortable but it's well worth the effort. Overall a really great product!

Although this sandal fit a little differently (the straps between the toes is a bit too tight & stiff) the quality and craftsmanship is superior.

The toe thongs are extremely thick, which cause my toes to spread, not a good look ;(

I wore these sandles in my teens, I love the leather and comfort. I always waken the leather to form to my foot by wetting them and walking until they dry. Great things happen when you wear them!

These are a replacement shoe for my usual birkenstocks. What I like about birkenstock is the ability to slip on without bending over. What a dislike about birkenstock is the rim around the toes, in to which my toes will not fit. If you don't have pointy feet, birks are not that appropriate. These shoes fit well out of the box. The leather is rather stiff for a sandal (i've bought other sandals where the leather is more supple right away). The consequence is that these take breaking in: 1 hour the first day, 1 hour the third day, etc... until you get used to the leather between your toes. After a couple of weeks, they are wearing in nicely and I can say they have replaced the old shoes. I will see how durable they are as time goes on. If they last two years or more, I'll update the review to five stars. If they don't last out the year, they'll go down to three. The quality of the sole, leather insole, and leather straps seems good. Also there is a thick seam around the toe of the shoe holding the insole and sole together. These will probably prevent the usual separation that occurs here in both birks and other cheap sandals. With free returns, there is no risk to try these.

These are amazing quality shoes. I have five pair..different styles. My oldest ones look as good as my newest ones. I have worn them everywhere and have never had anything break or unravel. They just do not wear out. And very comfortable! Reasonably priced. Great value.
