- ★WARNING! Beware of FALSE CLAIMS from other Nut Milk Bag Sellers (mostly just sellers of foreign made knock-off products) claiming "100% organic" and/or "certified by the GOTS", "100% Organic cotton stitching" & "no glue"... We investigated (purchased bags and contacted the actual manufacturers and GOTS) & did testing (we made a video) showing they are NOT "Organic" & sewn with POLYESTER (synthetic) threads, and glued! Some BRANDS are listed in the description below.
- ★ WHY ORGANIC THREADS/STITCHES ARE VERY IMPORTANT: 1) Polyester thread is not solid thread, it is made from many very thin fibers that are wrapped into a single thread, that is easily fray & get into your food. You basically end up eating plastic. 2) All natural nut milk bags require to be periodically sanitized (boiling and/or soaking in vinegar...) to prevent mold. Sanitizing can damage the synthetic fibers, which can lead to chemicals & synthetic particles (plastic) ending up in your food.
- ★SIZE: ~12" x 13" after washing, which is much larger than 12"x12" (shrinks to ~10"x10") fake "organic" nut milk bags. THIN DRAWSTRING - Thin drawstring for faster drying. ★DRIES FASTER - We specially designed and sew our nut milk bags so they will dry faster than other cotton nut milk bags with similar strength. ★STRONG & DURABLE - 365 days warranty! ★NATURAL/ORGANIC BRANDS THAT ARE SEWN WITH SYNTHETIC THREADS - These are brands that advertise as 100% natural or Organic, but are sewn with synthetic threads: Vitamix filtration bags (they are made by Vermont Fiddle Heads ), Cultures for Health, all or most Made in China nut milk bags: Marna Home Naturals, My Big Fat Organic Nut (milk) Sacks, Eco-Essence - recently changed name to LeCaze Co. and many more). NOTE: After we exposed these facts, some have changes their brand and/or seller account name. ★WHY IS ORGANIC BETTER? Nylon/polyester are synthetic made from petrochemicals, which are carcinogenic and toxic - from drilling > to manufacturing > to disposing. The negative effects are systemic: - most petrochemical plants have major chemical leaks into the ground, - petrochemical plants pollute the: air, soil and water, - people who live next to oil refineries have an 85% higher risk of birth defect, as well as higher numbers of cancer* and other diseases! Nylon fiber exposure almost doubled women's risk of breast cancer, according to a 2010 study in the British Medical Journal Occupational and Environmental Medicine. We only use natural materials on all our sewing/cutting equipment, so there is no cross-contamination from synthetic (nylon/polyester) lint from our machines. BPA-Free" labeled plastics/synthetics are still leaching estrogenic and worse chemicals! Conventional fabric production uses glue in the fabric manufacturing process, but organic use corn/potato starch. Nylon manufacturing creates nitrous oxide, it is a greenhouse gas with 300 times more global warming impact potential than carbon dioxide. Nylon & Polyester DO NOT biodegrade. In the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, plastics are slowly breaking apart into smaller pieces that are harming & killing animals, and working its way up the food chain!
