Great product
Great product for even smaller vegetable pasta. I used it last night for zucchini pasta. It did quick work. I love the spiralizer since my wife and I no longer eat grain. As far as I'm concerned, it's kitchenaids best attachment. It's faster, easier to clean, and more user friendly than my manual spiralizer. I'll keep the manual for larger diameter vegetables such as onions, cabbage and peppers. Too bad that these blades don't come in a box similar to the spiralizer, but I cut the clear plastic container sleeve down to protect the blades and fitted them into the spiralizer box They now stack nicely over the main body for quick use.

Makes two different thicknesses, both thinner than the standard blade
I originally purchased the 5 blade set with my KitchenAid Spiralizing attachment. I wanted to achieve even thinner slices for potatoes and purchased this additional two blade set. The slicing blade actually slices two different thicknesses at the same time. Both are thinner than the standard blade produces. I separated the two spiral slices and one is so thin, you can see through it. The slices were great for an edges-up scalloped potato dish. Very pleased with this auxiliary set.

These are great. The blades that came with the basic set are a little too wide for some applications. These are worth adding to your collection. Now I can give up my other freestanding spiralizer and just use the KitchenAid attachment. Makes thin pasta like noodles from vegetables.

Nice addition but should have been in the original spiralizer kit
Last year I bought the spiralizer kit for my wife. After seeing zuchini spiralized to make pasta I told my wife I wanted her to start making that. We pulled out the spiralizer kit and started to use the smallest one that came with the 60 dollar kit but those spirlized noodles were still large. My wife told me about this one which makes smaller noodles. Why is this not included in the kit in the first place? When you buy something like that you expect it to come with all the blades you could need. So now I fork over another 20 bucks for the smaller blades which in my opinion should have been included. Kitchen Aid- why do you do this? Why is it extra? News flash Kitchen Aid Now there are a lot of spiraling machines on the market that are not as cumbersome to hook up, are much easier to use just take them out of the cabinet and start using. And guess what! They come with all the blades needed!!!! what a concept!!!

This is the one you need for Zoodles!
Best of the smallest spiralizing set that go with the spiralizing unit connecting to the KitchenAid blender. This particular size attachment blade works well for the zucchini noodles or zoodles as there are called. This is the smallest noodle you can get from a KitchenAid spiralizer. 1 is a slicer spiral and the other is a skinny slicer for making noodles or zoodles. The slicer attachment works great for dehydrating vegetables. It's slices apples in wide ringlets so all that has to be done is stack with one cut to make circles for dehydrating or making pretty vegetable dishes. So happy Amazon had them! And for a better price than Hardware stores.

Complementary tool to the set: blades I use most
These blades are working fine, but to be preferred on firm vegetables : apple, potatoes, , carot... Tried the tiniest one with cucumber and it didn't work that was not firm enough in the middle and didn't work. Good product.

This item actually requires Spiralizer attachment, which I didn't see in the description. I ended up purchasing the spiralizer with attachments, which also included these two attachments.

You need these.
These were additions to my blade set which came with my mixer unit. I needed these to make a thinner noodle.I make a number of noodle dishes using vegetables for the noodles and the thinner blade works well. If you have the mixer attachment then you need these.
