In Korea, I grew up drinking awful tasting ginseng drinks called "hanyak" because of their supposed health benefits. These traditional elixirs are often customized based on your health needs. For example, a specific combination of ginseng, dried mushrooms, herbs, roots, and jujube could be used to treat anemia, sensitive skin, and infections. Usually, packs of extracts are prescribed and are intended for daily consumption. In all honesty, as a kid, I hated the taste of these, and I frequently tried to avoid them (e.g., lying about taking my daily drink, throwing some away, etc.). However, as an adult, I am more conscious of my health, and I decided I wanted to try hanyak again. Initially, I thought these extract packs were jelly sticks, which are popular among Koreans because the taste profile is much more palatable. However, these packs are actually just like the traditional elixirs. For my first shot, I drank one straight from the packet, and it was difficult to swallow because of the very strong medicinal taste. But after reading the suggested usage, I found that mixing/diluting them in ice water was much more enjoyable (like iced tea). The only thing that bothers me now is that some of the herbs settle like sediment at the bottom of my cup. These sediments do not dissolve, and it sort of discourages me from drinking the leftover bits (I think the issue is more of a visual thing for me though, so it might not bother other people). For tea drinkers who are not pregnant or breastfeeding, I would highly recommend looking into adding these ginseng elixirs as part of their routine.

I think people are dissatisfied with this product because they think it’s going to be a sweet tea, but it really is just an extract/elixir. I had it with warm water and I liked the taste. It’s savory and had a good mushroom flavor. I ended up adding a little bit of kosher salt and black pepper to this and sipped on it like it was broth, which it basically is. So don’t expect a sweet tea and do give it a chance as a savory broth.

Absolutely nasty taste, that product should no be in the market! Do not waste your money

Everydaze is a brand that I love and just added this to cart to try them out and support the brand. Been really enjoying them as part of my morning routine. It helps with my energy levels to last throughout the day. No afternoon crash. I drink it like tea, mixed with hot water. Or, if I'm in a hurry, just throw on in the bag to have it at work. Added bonus for immunity boost during these times.

I'm very happy to find a VEGAN cordyceps as cordyceps are usually grown on insects. Not only that, combined with a Korean panax ginseng extract is a huge plus!Every time I exercise, I feel like I have more energy and can actually push my body, further! My stress level has greatly decreased. I enjoy it as a tea with mix of hot water and love how it tastes and soothing it makes me feel.

Both cordyceps and ginseng are well-known adaptogens that can help your body get what we describe as "energy". I've been taking cordyceps almost daily for years now, but I had not taken ginseng in quite a while. As far as delivering energy goes, this product does the trick for me, I certainly feel way more energetic after taking it (well, the effect is not immediate, but pretty fast).I love the convenience factor for this product. I bought it mostly thinking to keep a pouch or two in my bag for "emergencies", and it is really good for that. The convenience factor can also justify the price, which at currently $1.66 per serving is a bit on the high, but not unreasonable, side for ginseng and cordyceps.What I didn't like so much: I found the taste to be really bad. To be fair, mushrooms are pretty bitter, and I am not sure what ginseng is supposed to taste like, so that taste might just be normal. That let aside, there is no information on the product regarding the type of cordyceps used, or the quantity of either cordyceps or ginseng per serving.Summarizing, it works for me. It's a product that I would keep around for energy "on the go", but between price and taste, I would stick to other sources of cordyceps for regular use.
