I wish the entire process was quicker, but the test identified two bacteria’s where my dog had an overgrowth. Once I started him on the recommended supplement, within days I saw my dog feeling better and back to himself!

This Doggie Biome test was easy enough to use. Collect a poop sample, seal, and send. You do have to create a pet profile, input some information, and complete a questionnaire about your dog which I don't necessarily like because is it going to change the results of the test? I feel like the poop is the poop and I want to be told about that without offering the symptoms. It took about two weeks to get the results, and then what felt like another two weeks to interpret them lol. There is a ton of information included, so I really had to sit down and try to understand. With that, they of course offer the supplements that they sell and recommend for that specific microbiome result and boyyyy some are pretty dang expensive. Overall, I am glad we did the test and will probably perform another in the future to see if the changes we have made are making a difference.

Disappointed with no answers after 9 months I thought this company was my savior but turned into false hope. After 9 months I’m right back where I started. I have a Rhodesian Ridgeback. She had been licking her paws. Smelled like almonds. She stinks and my wife definitely wasn’t happy with the smell. So I tried anything. Expensive dog food. I got chewable probiotics. In doing research I found this company. I got the gut test $125. Then the gut restore $125. Wife not happy about the cost but it worked. For a little while. So I’m all in. Loving this product. I go to buy a bunch of gut shield chews. There out of stock. They say the super shield chews are the same thing. So I order a couple and wait for the guy shield chews to come back in stock. I waited about 3 months. Still waiting. It never came back in stock. They had a sale so I bought more super shield chews. Another 6 bottles. So that’s 8 bottles and my dog is right back where we started. Red paws and stinking up the house. So I turn to the company. Ask to go over my dogs chart. See if I missed something. Long story short. All they wanted to do is sell me another guy health check. Said 9 months is perfect to do it again to truly see how my dogs stomach is doing. I don’t need a $125 test to tell my dog isn’t good. What a joke. I spent almost 500 bucks and got nothing. I believe my dog is just having allergies. Just a heads up. There are actual dog food allergy test from chewy. 80 bucks and they will give you a recommendation for what is the best food for your dog. I wish I knew about this sooner. I would have never wasted my money. At the end of my phone call with the company’s employee. I asked her if the company really cares about my dog health they would just send me a gut test for free. Since I already paid for one. She told me. Oh I can’t do that. Waste of time waste of money.

This test has helped us to find the right probiotics to treat the specific bad bacteria existing in my dog's gut. Lots of interesting and informative information. Brought the results to our veterinarian to help make a game plan to combat my dog's IBS. Will order again to retest and see if the diet changes we made are helping her gut.

Great clinical support with evaluating the results. Their S. boulardii pre- and pro-biotics are the only brand my Boston Terrier has been able to use.

The information you receive from this test can be helpful. I recommend getting the free consult after the results come back. My dog was on the ftt pills they sell for a couple of months & so far they seem to have helped. Not a cure but helpful

I was shocked when the test revealed how seriously out of balance my dogs’ microbiome was. I was provided a list of what her microbiome contained and what it didn’t contain. I was also provided with suggestions of what to add to her diet to “balance” her microbiome. It has been about seven months and I’ve made some changes to her diet as recommended by AnimalBiome. I’ve just repeated the test and am awaiting the results.
