Perfect for bird room
TLDR: bought to use for bird room to keep cat out and birds in. It was fairly easy to install, works great and seems sturdy. The only thing I would change: I wish there were more tacks due to me smashing a few in my attempt to hammer them in lol. (Explanation of how I installed it farther down) โ Longer version: We have been working on setting up a bird room. The room we are using has 1 door and 1 doorway. The doorway connects to the kitchen. I was already planning on getting a screen for this doorway eventually. It suddenly became urgent due to my ex husband calling me and asking if I can take in his cat. I didn't want a magnetic one because I figured cats could walk right through it. I measured the outside of the doorway and bought the recommended size. It was pretty easy to install intuitively. The directions are not very detailed, but that wasn't a problem for me. My b only complaint is I wish they included more tacks. A few of them ended up being smashed/bending while I tried to hammer them in. I don't think it was due to a problem with the tacks. I think it was caused by my sub-par hammering skills. โ How I installed it: โI opted to install it in a way that made sense to me. To explain this, let's call the the velcro pieces that are sewn on the mesh "side A" and the velcro that goes on the wall "side B." โขRather than measure placement and measure out the strip of side B velcro and place side B on the wall and pray I got the placement correct, I did the following. โขI attached strips of side B velcro to the side A velcro on the mesh. I held it up to the wall and had a helper pull the bottom taught so we could find the right height. Then I peeled the paper off the back of velcro B on just the top of the mesh and pressed it to the wall. I then used 3 tacks to secure the top of the mesh to the wall (one on the top right corner, one on the top left corner and one in the middle/center of the top) โขI then peeled the paper off the back of velcro B on the right side and pressed it to the wall. I hammered in some tacks to secure it. โขThen I proceeded to do the left side, making sure to pull it taught as I went from top to bottom pressing the sticky side of velcro B to the wall. โขI added a few tacks to secure it. โขI used the rest of the tacks around the edges to finish securing it to the wall. โขLastly, I used some small 1 inch nails I had to attach the bottom of the mech to the floor by hammering them through the bottom edge of the mesh, through the carpet and in to the flooring under the carpet. ยฐI could have skipped the last step due to the 3 attached sides being taught enough to prevent the bottom from being lifted more than a couple centimeters at most. I chose to hammer it to the floor just for extra security from pets as well as making it easier to zip and unzip.

QWR Screen door is GREAT!
The QWR screen door shield for my interior doors is fantastic!! This is so well made, sturdy, no ripping when a large cat jumps up on it, the tape used for the door frame adheres like a dream, and it looks nice! And this tape will not leave a permanent mark (or remove paint) on your wood and there are no nail holes to contend with. The screens also roll up neatly to be held by the snap strap. I have foster cats and one of them does not get along with my resident cats. Thus, the separation of cats from rooms so there will be no fights. They are GREAT! I bought 2 at the start-for less than $30.00 each!!!! and they were so great I bought a 3rd and then this order is my 4th. They still look brand new, they are easy to operate, getting these screens on the door frames is a breeze, the zippers are not showing any sign of stress, (they are used a lot). I don't know how they do it, but this is a successful product and a well-made product. I love them!

Sturdy and looks nice
Update to original review. The adhesive really starts to wear off after a couple months and eventually the zippers get snagged. But overall 4/5 still for me. I just wish they provided more tacks than adhesive. The screen itself is pretty durable and it definitely keeps the cats in while still being able to look outside. This has held up really well so far! I bought it about 3 months ago to replace the traditional magnetic closure one I had been using for my cats since they love to sit in the door and watch the happenings outside. I needed something that would hold up to their occasional attempts to find a way out. This has worked like a charm! It was super easy to install and stuck a little too well to the doorframe. If you're a renter like me, be careful when unsticking it to readjust or remove as it may just pull some paint off with it. Definitely measure before you buy and error on the slightly too long side to be safe.

Works well, goes up easily, very effective
Excellent! We got this because one of our cats was having diarrhea issues and we were worried she'd track it into the bedroom while we slept. It was effective at keeping her out at night while still letting us get good airflow into our room, and it held up to three cats' worth of scratching. The glue that holds it to the wall melted at about 78 degrees though, but that was my fault. I was trying to keep the house warm to get dough to rise and turned the heater up to about 78, and the screen started peeling off the wall. So if you live somewhere hot and the power goes out, it might come down, but otherwise, works well, goes up easily, and is effective against cats' claws.

Great for introducing new kitten!
This screen is being used to divide the house as needed while we acclimate our new kitten. Being a kitten, she is a professional troublemaker who will bully our older cat and chew on cords if she gets into the wrong part of the house unchaperoned. Setting it up was okay. I have to be honest, my measurements fell short, and the screen I got doesn't reach all the way up to the top of the doorway. Fortunately that's good enough for my purposes, until and unless the kitten learns to climb the screen (knock on wood she doesn't). It was really hard to lay the edges flush on the door frame without leaving a lot of little gaps. The adhesive is okay, certainly sufficient to hold the screen in place, but some spots have come loose over time, especially around the bottom where the zipper gets tugged around. However, the screen did also come with some tacks for extra insurance, and adding those at the pain points helps a lot, so I appreciate that foresight. Compared to a door, the zipper is inherently slightly more awkward. No real way around that. It's harder to use if you're carrying anything, and of course it's pretty tricky with a kitten trying to slip through (though that's tricky with doors too). I think that this wouldn't be a great solution to block a doorway where people need to go back and forth a lot; it's better as something that you either have mostly closed for a while or mostly open for a while. When you are leaving it open, the screen can be rolled up and secured out of the way on one side. I will say that as of yet, the kitten hasn't made any major effort to break through it. She likes to attack the zipper while it's being used and the opened screen panel when it hangs loose, but that's play. If she really tried to, say, pull up the bottom of the screen off the floor, I have my doubts that this would hold up to her. But that's a what-if. So far, this screen has been a very useful tool over the months we've had it in place! UPDATE a couple months later: The adhesive has continued to weaken slightly with use. In addition, the older cat ended up being the one to make an active attempt at getting past the screen; she was indeed able to overcome the adhesive, but not the tacks. At this point, the bottom portion of the screen is relying entirely on tacks to stay in place. However, the adhesive IS still holding with the upper parts that don't get as much stress. It's going to depend on your doorway and your usage, I guess.

Solid product, not 100% cat proof
We like to prop open our patio door when itโs nice out to get fresh air in the apartment. We were hoping this would be a way for us to have the door open while keeping bugs out and the cat inside (cat is not allowed on our apartment patio unsupervised). It worked fine for a few days, but our cat is VERY determined and managed to rip along the seam where the zipper is sewn on. The mesh itself is much sturdier than other similar products though, and I like that it attaches to the floor. Just didnโt work for us. If you have a pet thatโs not quite so determined, Iโm sure this would work just fine lol. We are going to try a heavier duty pet gate with a separate screen

Perfect to keep pets out.
Fits most doorways and allows easy access to and from while keeping the dogs or cats where they shouldn't be. This is easy to install for a single person and is very resistant to sharp feline claws. I use this to separate my plant room, and this allows easy airflow and doesn't obstruct my view of my plants.

Great and durable!
Works great for keeping our cat out of certain rooms of the house! Some of us have really bad allergies and it helps tremendously! He also gets to have fun climbing on it. ๐๐

Fantastic Product
Inexpensive for what it is and works brilliantly. I used this while adopting a new cat to contain them in part of the house. I'm not entirely convinced she couldn't tunnel under the bottom but putting a towel there is easy and makes it very secure.

Quality, safety, functionality
Just love this screen door. Super easy to install and verrrry sturdy. Packaging is very professional and they give extra velcro tape. I am positive it wont fall down or be ripped because of the quality of product. I am taking care of my son's cat for a month. I have 4 cats already. I was obviously concerned for his safety and kept him in a bedroom. After a week he was getting fed up and wanted out...adding this professional screen door has changed his life. He can still be apart of the group and feel secure. His reaction was immediate happiness.

The cats hate it
There's one room in the house the cat's aren't allowed to go into -have never been allowed to go into- so therefore this is a crime against cats. This room - my bedroom- also has terrible airflow issues, which can best be alleviated by leaving the door open. Now they can see into the room they're not allowed to enter. "How did you make this worse?" I imagine them saying. It's very sturdy, my 16 pound cat hasn't managed to brute force his way in as of yet (and he's tried). I ordered for a 30 by 80 door but got something like a 35 by 80 - but no matter, I made it work. The glue on the hook tape is pretty intense. To prep for the hook tape I lightly sanded with a 400 grit sandpaper and then wiped off the dust with a microfiber cloth. I don't think it's going to come off any time soon. I'm not sure how I'll get it off later, but that's a future-me problem. It even stops the odd bug from getting through and a new plus: the chonker-cat can't scratch on my door all night long so I can finally get a good night's sleep. Edit* years later and it is still holding up. My fat cat has been trying to gnaw his way through but the screen is tough, making him work for every cm of a hole. He was able to pull the bottom off the carpet but because it's taut across the bottom he can't fit under. Sometimes I hear him rush my door and try to Kool-Aid man his way through but it holds. I'm still giving this screen 5 stars because my cat is very destructive, clever, and strong and the screen door has lasted this long despite him. This screen is a godsend for my sleep and privacy.

Smaller than advertised
Item was a lot smaller than described. Product measurements are stated as โ SIZE:Pet screen door size 34"x83โโ. However, when product arrived and was measured, actual size was 31.2โ (79.4 cm).

Says its made of vinyl coated steel, it's just plastic
Misleading product description, it's only made of plastic and my cat put holes in it instantly
