Sturdy, beautifully imperfect and lightweight.
Okay even though this particular came I received and not have the nice big ball on the top it does have a significant hand grip where the root is supposed to be. It is precisely the right length that I need, has some nice gnarl from the branch trim on it I do kind of wish they would leave a little bit of the branch trimming on there, maybe a 1/8 in or up to a quarter inch just to give it a little character and texture along the shaft. But all in all I cannot complain. It is 100% natural, nice and light, feel sturdy. I'm 6 ft 220 and I have leaned on this just to see how much it would bend and it hardly bends at all. Definitely a very good purchase. Especially when you consider that these are not reproductions but 100% natural so each one is going to be individual unto itself and yes completely different Comma plus the perfectly imperfect Perfection On the shaft. As far as length it is actually 37.25 in length and I think part of that .25 in is going to be from the rubber pad on the bottom. With proper use this walking Aid will help definitely with some balance and with a little practice self-defense if ever needed. The only thing I might do since this is definitely a keeper, is sand off the remaining bark or at least rough it up really good and repaint the shaft a high gloss black or possibly even go mahogany stain in color.

So Comfortable, I'm Afraid to Carry It.
I always figured I'd have to carve my perfect cane myself. Now that I'm a retired old buzzard, I deserve a good, carved cane. So, let's just say that life has a sense of humor. Now that I have the time, my hands refuse follow the program so...I ordered a Brazos Walking cane. I love it. If I had carved it myself, I couldn't have made a more comfortable stick. There is a knot on the handle where my pinky rests. This cane is so perfect, I'm afraid I'll leave it in a shopping cart somewhere! The baby is only safe at home!

Not how it looks in the pictures
DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THE PICTURES! Its great, feels really strong and looks nice except it doesn't look like the pictures! Mine looked like a stick covered in bark i had to take a knife and make my own designs on it! The pictures are after I sliced some of the bark off!

ONE OF A KIND - IT IS A HANDCRAFTED RUSTIC KNOB ROOT CANE W/LIFETIME WARRANTY
A failed lumbar fusion and failed revision surgeries have created a disability that requires for me the use of a cane. For years I have been using generic metal canes. Recently I purchased an exotic wood cane from Brazos that I plan to use for special occasions. The quality craftmanship and the one-of-a-kind nature of this original cane had me looking at other Brazos offerings. This rustic knob root cane being one of a few more I purchased from Brazos. This cane is solid, looks fantastic, stronger thar 99% of my metal expandable canes, and shipping was timely. Amazons pricing is better than Brazos website. Plus, a couple of my canes I was able to get Amazon sale pricing. Some of the Brazos canes are approved FSA & HAS, another plus for me. The only fault I have with this knob root cane is a couple voids on the bottom side of the handle. Nothing that I would return. I will fill with the voids with epoxy, and shape. Quick easy low-cost fix for me. It is not really needed โ but it will complete the fit and feel of the cane for my use.

To bad
Don't even try, look like you take the cain out the dumpster, the picture and the reality two different things, I like old rusty things but this goes to far

Was this an apparition
I would have given it five stars if just a little more care was taken in finishing it. The shellac was not evenly applied (some areas had no finish applied) and the rough edges of the bark was not sanded to fade to the wood so the bark began to flack off. I used some sand paper to prep the cane for another coat of shellac. This was my fifth cane that I have purchased from Brazos and I didn't have these issues with any of the other canes or walking sticks.
