Fexofenadine antihistamine , non drowsy. This is easy to take, is reliable and has relatively few side effects. It is designed as a one a day tablet but I find that I need to take two a day as it only lasts around 10-12 hours. If it’s a really bad day with a very high pollen count I find that I can take a cetirizine as well as this and that seems to work., when just taking one type wouldn’t. It doesn’t get to work as quickly as Benadryl which works in around 20/30 minutes so I find iis good to take for the three am attacks of sneezing and running nose. A few warnings, it can cause a dry mouth as it reduces salvia production, it can make you drowsy if you drink alcohol while taking it. Drinking orange, apple and grapefruit juice make side effects like drowsiness more likely. This is the strongest antihistamine you can buy, it used to be prescription only and is designed to help with debilitating hayfever - if you have it bad you know how miserable it is- your nose runs as freely as a tap, eyes so itchy you can’t see, throat like a fire place, coughing like you have the plague, headache, waking in the early hours as the “pollen shower” from the previous day descends, horrendous and inescapable every summer. It works for most people but for some it doesn’t do much, so it is trial and error and I would suggest if you are taking this for the first time try a small pack size to see if it works for you. The new guidelines to save the nhs money have excluded some “ minor “ conditions like hay fever ( no matter how bad your symptoms and how debilitating it is ) from what can be prescribed, the good news is that fexofenadine can now be bought on the shelf for the first time as a result of this and for me it is cheaper than a cost of a prescription. Save and subscribe knocks the price down a little more too.

These tablets eased about 90% of the symptoms I have been suffering with for the past 2 weeks. Before taking one tablet, I could not breathe through my nose, kept leaking clear mucus, was sneezing once a minute, and also had really itchy eyes. Half an hour or so after taking this, the leaking and sneezing stopped and my eyes stopped itching as much. it did not do much for the stuffiness in my nose, but that was beyond its scope to begin with. Also did not feel drowsy at all after taking it. So all in all, I give this 5 stars and can happily recommend it.

Really good price and for me and my family these are the best tablets a part from piriton. The benefits of these is the they don’t make you as drowsy as piriton. These help quash the hay fever allergies quickly and you only need one tablet a day. The bulk buy offer is good value for money.

Suffering from quite bad hayfever, I've tried a number of oral remedies such as these Allevia tablets in addition to nasal products and additionally natural solutions also. Unfortunately, I saw very little effect from these Allevia tablets and ultimately found better results from Cetirizine as another second gen anti-histamine.
