Works like a charm and was exactly what I needed

One day I had a feeling to go check on the Hotpoint mini freezer. As soon as I lifted the lid I could tell it had recently shut down and began to defrost. It was plugged in but not operational. I was pissed because the unit was only three years old and it was packed to the top with meats.I removed the access cover and placed my hand on the compressor and felt it was very warm to the touch. But not HOT. However, it was not running. I unplugged the freezer to avoid further possible damage.My first thought was to go out and get a new freezer. Then I decided to diagnose it instead. So I watched a few YouTube videos and learned about a common problem that seemed to be my problem now. I thought for ~$10 I would take a scientific wild ass chance rather than spend $200+ for a whole new unit.I did not panic and took some of the meats out and placed them in the kitchen freezer. Then I placed several bags of ice on top of the contents in the Hotpoint mini freezer. This ended up saving everything while I waited about a WEEK for the part to arrive.The part came and I had some degree of doubt it would not work. I swapped the wires over to the new relay and plugged it onto the compressor assembly and plugged the freezer into the wall outlet....The compressor came on right away and the freezer is working as though nothing ever happened! Like new!!WOW.So what I did was order another relay part to have on hand in case this one craps out in the future (since it's a common problem). Man, am I happy!So, I recommend buying a second relay as well. The installation is very easy to perform. The part is cheap.

I had to repair a Hotpoint 7.1 cf freezer, I had no faith that this $10 part would fix my 2 year old freezer that suddenly stopped cooling , but I worked like a charm!! All thanks to you tube and Amazon my freezer is back in working order just before winter !! The install took 5 minutes max

This worked perfectly and, unlike others being sold, I did not have to buy a pair (only one broke). I fixed the refrigerator door in less than 15 minutes

Purchased this item in February 2023, it worked for 6 months before I had to purchase another one. Now 3 months after that, here I am again. The item fixes the issue, temporarily. But I’m pretty I just need a new deep freezer.

Small chest freezer died. It was only 2 years old. We went onto YouTube and saw this has happened to many of our kind of freezer, saw the fix was just to replace this part. The part worked! Saved us from having to buy a new freezer, and fix wasn’t that hard for my husband.

I picked up a newer non working freezer, ordered this part, installed it in minutes and now have a $10 chest freezer. No complaints here
