I recently ordered multiple leashes for my dogs, and I must say, I am extremely impressed by the quality and durability of this product. I have been looking for a leash that is both secure and comfortable for my dogs, and this one most definitely fits the bill. The leash itself seems to be made of high-quality rubber with a non-slip surface that makes it easier to grip. The collar clip is extremely secure and seems to hold up well to pullers. I appreciate the time and attention to detail put into making these. I went ahead and purchased a martingale style collar for my dogs from this business as well. Unfortunately, there seems to have been a mix up with my order, and Amazons shipping partner ended up delivering it to the wrong address, providing me with a wrong delivery picture. However, I would most definitely order from Jim Hodges more often. Thanks !

This lead is well worth the money. I am using it to train my Standard Poodle and appreciate the grip it provides. It is waterproof and very comfortable in your hands. The quality is first rate with brass fittings that are a very nice weight. The 6 foot length is the perfect size for training. I also like that you can loop it around your body for off leash events. It appears to be chew resistant and it functions ideally for training. I am going to purchase a matching collar for my girl!

This leash is an excellent, stellar and well crafted product. I was looking back on my Amazon history and realized we never wrote a review on it. They have great customer service too. Our groomer at the time was irresponsible and left our brand new leash in the crate with our mouthy puppy during a groom session. It was chewed up and when we reached out to the company they offered to replace it for a small fee to cover shipping which was really nice of them since it wasn’t their fault our leash was destroyed. We’ve had this replacement leash since 2021 and it is still as good as new. The hardware is extremely sturdy and everything is really well made. It is made of a very thick, high quality biothane with sealed seams and the rivets are exceptionally strong. My dog pulls like a freight train and the leash shows 0 signs of wear or tear. Highly recommend this product!

Jim Hodges Leashes are my go to - I won’t use any other leash . They are such great quality and the feel and hardware is perfect . Never had an equipment failure with these. As a professional training organization we have probably 40 of these leashes in varying lengths and widths.

I did a silly thing. I went to a pet store when we got our GSD pup and bought a nice, long black leash made of that normal nylon stuff you see everywhere....BIG MISTAKE. Ugh gawd, the FUNK on that thing after only a month it stunk so bad I refused to have it in the house, had to hand wash it constantly and it started fraying after only 3 months. Enter the GUMMY leash. OMG I LOVE this thing. It is so tough, our GSD can chomp on it and it doesn't even leave a mark. It has been dragged through so much crud, it just wipes off easily with a damp cloth. It has a nice heavy-duty ring on it for her tags/poop bag dispenser to hang from. The hook is also heavy duty and easy to open. The color is bold and awesome (we got purple). I want ten more of these, I love them. It's pretty easy on your hands, a little better than the nylon ones when your dog is pulling. You may want gloves or padding if doggie pulls really hard though. Don't mess around with anything else if your dog is at all active and you let her drag her lead once in a while...this is the best leash ever.

I have been training my pitbull for the last year and hes amazing so i wanted to upgrade all his equipment under the recommendation of the American Standard Dog Training. I love the feel of this leash. It feels durable and it doesnt slip in your hand. But within 5 minutes of using this leash, my dog shook and the leash flew right off. Its not really a big deal with my dog as he will stand and wait to be rehooked but can be dangerous for dogs who arent trained. I read other reviews that said the same thing. Theres definitely something wrong with the clip mechanism.

Professional Dog Trainers have recommended this leash. Wow! This Dog Leash is a Game Changer, especially when you have a Large Breed like an XL Bully. Great Quality & Feel! It's like Fake Leather. Easy to clean and will last a lifetime, provided your Dog does not chew on it! I will only buy this leash in the future. Nylon tends to fray and is slippery when it gets wet, which can be dangerous for you and your dog.

Crappy quality. My dog shredded the outside rubber in under 3 minutes while I wasn’t paying attention.
