A perfect fit, my dryer runs great again with a fraction of the cost

The heating element and thermostat sensors are a perfect (identical) fit for my Whirlpool Dryer Model # LER4634PQ1 Type D433. The machine is an older model and was in the house when I first bought it. I watched a few YouTube videos on how to replace the element and the sensors to build knowledge and confidence. The replacement was not difficult and could literally save you hundreds of dollars, as it did me. My advice is this: First, disconnect the dryer from the wall outlet before attempting any type of repair. Work on one sensor at a time. Take your time, as speed is not as important as accuracy. Do not remove more than one wire at a time. What I did was remove the sensor first with wires still intact. (They are attached to the dryer by one zip screw) Then I installed the new sensor, reconnecting each wire individually to its corresponding contact post. This takes the guesswork out of which wire goes where, as some wires are similar in appearance. For the heating element, it's held in place by two zip screws, and once removed, the element can be wiggled down from its housing. Installation is the opposite of removal. Before you make your purchase, take the back off your dryer (remove plug first) and check to see that the parts on your machine are the same as the ones sold in the package. They should be an exact match. One additional note is that I never found a reason to replace the red jump wire or any wire that looked even similar to it.

Came with everything pictured was SUPER EASY to replace. Works as it should. Only took about 15 mins to burn off new smell and it didnt linger on clothes.

As others have reported, the replacement heating element stopped working after a few weeks. But I'm here to tell you EXACTLY what the problem is. 1. The resistance coil is attached to a metal plate that is TOO THIN. There are also a lot of large holes in the metal plate that were made to allow clips to be mounted. The resistance coil is attached to these clips, which appear to be made of ceramic. The OEM version has thicker metal for the plate, and the mounting holes are much smaller. The result here is that the metal plate begins to warp outward under the heat stress, most especially the heat stress coming from the coil, which sits between the metal plate and the metal mount on which the heating element is attached. Eventually, the metal plate warps enough that some part of the coil will touch the metal housing. Instant short to ground, accompanied by a tripped breaker and likely rupture of the resistance coil. 2. The resistance coil itself is TOO THIN, notably thinner than the OEM version. Among other things, this means that this coil will have more of a tendency to warp and will have a much shorter life span. I've included a photo of the heating element where you can see the carbon build up on the metal plate. The plate is easily bent with a little hand pressure and is flaking off residue due to rapid corrosion. When I opened the back of the dryer, you could see flakes of corrosion building up inside the dryer housing along the bottom. So understand: You have been warned. The OEM version came in a box clearly marked "Whirlpool Corporation Factory Certified Parts." To be sure, inspect the plate and coil and compare with the old OEM version if you still have that available.

The package was really good it is great quality and fit my dryer perfectly now I have a brand new dryer basically. And so much cheaper that buying a new dryer it came with everything it nned to fix it. I'd buy it again

Went out less than 2 months of use. Going to try it again since I know there are bad ones every now and then. But for the price I can’t really complain.

I love that this comes with all the parts you need to fix the heating in your dryer. It does not come with instructions, though it doesn't really need them. I am a woman, and I was able to do it within 10 minutes, with no instructions, and no how-to video either. The best thing to do is to take pictures of where the wires go and to which part. I highly recommend you get this set if your not sure what is causing your dryer not to heat up. It pretty much replaces everything you need in this one kit. And for the price, unbelievable. When I got done with replacing all of the parts, the dryer started heating up in no time. Also works great and durable. I do not regret getting this for a second. I HIGHLY recommend.
