Fantastic...until it broke
Coming from the Medtronic pump, I was disappointed with the clip that the Tandem came with. It would constantly slip off my beltline and dangle. So when they released this new holster, I was extremely excited. It did not disappoint. Not only did it stay snuggly on my beltline, but it could also rotate its direction with ease and stability.Unfortunately I can't give it a 5th star. After owning it for almost 4 months, it did break. the plastic containing the pin broke and the clip could not stay on the holster at that point. However, Tandem is shipping me a replacement immediately, so hopefully this one lasts more than 4 months. Still well worth it, as the design is better than the original and functions well before beraking.

A good start toward a great product!
For me the clip it uses broke on the side where the hinge pin has the fluting after 1.5 months. I've used a pump since 1996, so I don't know what I bumped into that pulled on it hard enough to damage the clip... Also, Too bad the ridge around the pump isn't a little taller to make it easier to use the clip without touching the pump touch screen. Otherwise this is a good start on what will become a great product if they listen to their customers for feedback... It also could be more ergonomic if the squarish rectangular clip had rounded or ovalized shape to it so the corners don't poke you, and the clip is then easier to take off your belt then too...

Excellent product, I love it !
Very secure, and a seemingly much more protective case for my pump. The clip flips back and forth easily, depending on how you want to wear it. Hasn’t come unclipped (and fallen to the floor) once, the clip is great ! A huge improvement over the one that comes with the pump.

Good until the clip separated (Updated)
I'm on my second t:slim X2. (The first one malfunctioned one month shy of two years' service, and couldn't be reset.) Several months before the malfunction, the plastic bar that held the original metal clip so the pump was oriented horizontally broke.I started using this holster in early January 2021. It seemed much more rugged than the original, until tonight (08/28/21) when the movable part of the rotary clip separated from the rest of it. The "springy" piece stayed behind my belt, and the hinge pin was still in place, but the "V-spring" landed several feet away. Luckily, someone spotted it on the floor and gave it to me.I was able to reassemble it, but am hoping the hinge pin doesn't "migrate" in either direction.Update 10/03/2021: The clip hinge is now completely broken. One side of the two "ears" on either side of the clips, where I was able to reinsert the hinge pin before, have now broken off. I might have gotten more months out of it than some other reviewers have reported, but less than one year is still unsatisfactory. At this point I'm not sure if the breaking hinges are a safety feature, or a form of planned obsolescence, to sell more of these at $30 each. I'd rate it sa not much better than the original case.Luckily, I have a soft case (pumpcases[dot]com) that can sub for it until the replacement arrives.Someone from Tandem needs to read these three-star-and-less reviews.I'll probably buy another one, but right now,

Practical clip, horrible durability
I enjoyed this clip a lot, since the clip which comes with the Tandem pump is pretty crappy and will easily bend, which is why I bought this one which seemed more secure. This one was much more functional, and actually stayed on my pants/belt whenever I used it. Unfortunately, it is made of very cheap plastic. I tried to take it off my belt yesterday and it snapped right where one of the hinges on the clip is, and the entire clip part fell off. Tandem also has no warranty on the clip, so I guess I will just be spending $30 on a clip every 6 months. TBH replacements for the clip should have a year warranty if they're going to break this easily. Stop price gouging diabetics who are already paying so much for this technology.
