STANDARD AD SPECIAL SIZES AVAILABLE. The Electrostatic Air Filter uses no electricity and requires no wiring. Air passing over the filter media generates a static charge which attracts and holds dust particles like a magnet. Because of this phenomenon many airborne particles that pass through ordinary filters are captured by the "Electrostaic Air filters. These Filters are built to last. Filter Care Installation: Simply install your Electrostatic Air Filter where your old filter was located. The arrow on the filter frame indicates the direction of the air flow. Air will travel in through the light side of the filter and out through the dark side. Cleaning: Filters will typically need to be cleaned on a monthly basis, depending on the environment. To clean, remove your filter and use a brush or vacuum to remove dry dust. Next, rinse with water in the opposite direction of the airflow arrow. Then repeat on the other side. Rinse thoroughly, drain excess water until dry and reinstall. Important: Don’t expose your filter to direct sunlight or extreme heat for any extended period of time, and never use oil or other chemical sprays on your filter. When I spoke Air Care I asked them, "Should I give you the exact dimensions I need, or should I have you the size of the flimsy filter that fits but isn't doing the job. They said give them the size of the filter that we were using. I did, and when I received their filter I quickly found that the filter fit perfectly. We have a 4 ton unit that has quite a vaccuum to it and we have not found any problem with lack of air coming from the events in our furthermost rooms. We have not heard any unusual noises from the unit indicating that it is having a problem pulling air through the filter, so at this point I have to say its doing its job without hindering the unit. I recommend this to a friend.

We are happy with our Air Care filter

decent filter
I should have bought 2 for a few reasons. when you clean it, you have to wait a few hours before putting it back in to let it dry off. and it took the seller so long to get it to me that i would rather not go through that again < 40 + days > despite the delivery issues, its still a good filter. I wouldn't call it a lifetime filter, I am hoping for 10 years or so out of it, which would still save me a lot of money.

So far so good!
I have had this product about a week. It arrived in four days even though I asked for a weird size 17X25, which you cannot find in stores or even on Amazon. The 16X25 was too small and the 18X25 was too big. This filter fits perfectly. I dusted my house the same day I installed it and I still have no dust on my furniture. We live on a dirt road in the desert and this has always been a problem. So far so good!

Be Warned
I ordered 4 air filters from the vendor. None matched the specifications advertised, size-wise. For example, the vendor clearly states that air filters will be fabricated 3/8ths inch smaller than the nominal size ordered. In other words a 14 x 20 filter has the actual dimensions of 13-5/8 x 19-5/8. All of the filters I received were 1/2 inch smaller than the nominal size. It doesn't seem like being off 1/8 of an inch should matter, and it didn't for 3 of the filters. The fourth filter fell through the return vent opening. I had to use duct tape to hold it in place. I have contacted the vendor twice about the problem. Their response was unintelligible the first time. Their response the second time was a copy of a Fed X shipping report. I suspect that I am dealing with someone who does not have a command of the English language or they would at least explain why I am not entitled to the filter size that I ordered.

Worth the money
Awesome product! Easy to clean. The company is very good at customizing the exact size you need. I have 2 units in my house that are 2 different sizes. The company delivered the exact size I needed and the shipping was fast!! If these weren't meant to lay a lifetime I would definitely by again! Highly recommend. Great price also! A local AC company wanted to charge $100 more than AirCare.. Such a great deal

Less house cleaning
I have 2 furnaces in my home - ordered one filter - they make sure it fits by either calling or e-mailing for the measurements you need. So placed in one furnace and left the other with replacement filters - the Electrostatic rooms have not needed dusting for 4 weeks, the other replacement (paper) filters rooms have needed dusting weekly and then actually more but really! I live in the country and with farming all around the air is always full of dust - so this is doing reallllllllly great. Customer service is wonderful - I ordered second filter yesterday, they called promptly to get size (which I had misplaced) and then looked up my old order since the size is the same.

Nice Item
We ordered this filter to replace an old one. We liked the fact that we could special order a size to fit our system. It fits great and is working like described. I am sure this one will last many years just like our old one did. Great bargin over time as the disposable ones are above 5 bucks now. I would reccomend this seller. :)
