Visio is a diagramming and vector graphics software application. It is developed to mainstream business diagramming solutions. Visio began by Shapeware Corporation at Seattle in 1992 and integrated into Microsoft Office in 2000. Visio 2016 contains over 4,000 shapes in 173 Stencils related to 74 kinds of templates in 8 categories. Yet there is few samples on it. So it is hard to understand Visio’s applied method other than readers’ profession. As a result, the majority of Visio users always drew quite simple flowchart in spite of the powerful function. Reader can create appropriate stencils and shapes of your own. Appendix1: 74 Templates A template is a file that defines a drawing type. It contains stencils (such as stencils for flowcharting) and optionally a default drawing and editing environment settings (such as to show or hide the Grid). Visio 2016 covered a wild range of 74 Templates in 8 categories (Business, Engineering, Flowchart, General, Maps and Floor Plans, Network, Schedule, Software and DB).
