So far has worked great!
I have used this twice so far and it has worked absolutely beautifully! I love that it is a plugin, You can change the light bulb when needed, it is lightweight. My only role complaint so far is that it is so lightweight that I'm a little worried that it'll get knocked over in a strong wind. So I'm going to attempt to weigh it down as you can open the bottom. I'm thinking maybe getting some of those decorative rocks that you can get at the dollar store and using some hot glue. Just to give it some weight so it doesn't blow over in the wind.

Great little zapper
Great little zapper. I was getting over ran with flies in the kitchen a few days back and this little guy got rid of them all over just one night. I bought this sometime back and it also wiped out those little flour, or weavel bugs too. Those ones you get around planting season if you live rural, or sometimes they get imported in from the grocery store from flour, corn meal etc. Good product, and resonably priced.

Long Lasting Bulb!
I've had this since May 2024 and I've used it every day since (sometimes let it run overnight) and the bulb just now ran out on 03/29/2026. Since I live in Texas and unfortunately in an apartment where neighbors constantly go in and out I have to deal with a constant supply of fresh gnats coming through the vents. They drive me insane and I LOVE hearing that zap. I bought another brand and put in another room and I never hear that zap which is very disappointing since I'm unsure it works. They look similar but this one seems to work better.

Works Perfectly - Day One
Doing a great job, so far! 10 minutes after I open the box and plugged it in it zapped a tiny mosquito that drove me crazy all day. I heard the "zap" and smelled it clearly - this is good! I know it's working! In a 120 sq/ft bedroom, door closed, lights dimmed, I slept with peace of mind. The blue glow does not bother me, as its across the room from my bed. I'm leaving it on 24/7/365 as the bedroom door will usually be open during the day.

Kills flying gnats ha ha ha YES!!!
What I like most is the clean snap that I can hear when a gnat, lured in by the black light tries to land on the bulb, but gets cooked by the spark passing through it to reach the second grid. That's one sweet sound, after trying cider vinegar and water with a drop of dish soap in it. The liquid works great for fruit flies, and these appear to be such at first glance, but they are not and are not attracted to the things fruit flies are. The gnats are tiny, like the light produced from a phone screen, follow the reflected phone light to the face of the person using the phone, then the warm air exiting from the nose, and the next breath in, sucks a gnat into your nose, and that's not pleasant at all. I have been bothered all winter by gnats. To tiny for fly swaters, and sprays, to quick for hands, I thought about using hanging flying insect killer strips until it said that it should be in a room that people occupy less than 4 hours a day. That's not what I consider safe for inside. I have had a 2 bulb, rectangular bug zapper that died after years of faithful service. Thinking that the bulbs would be the shortest life of the thing, I ordered a good supply of extras. I still have bulbs, but the zapper is no longer available sadly. I thought that this might serve as a replacement zapper, although it uses horse shoe shaped bulb of the same wattage, but only a single bulb instead of two. Well I got it unpacked and plugged in and in short order I was able to hear that snap of success, as "Another One Bites The Dust"!! The unit has a cleaning brush to tidy the grids, but I expect to just use a small cordless vacuum cleaner to remove any debris that is found in the grid or bottom of the zapper. I will check for a source of bulb replacements after 30 days, since I will know by then if I will keep it. So far however I am thrilled that I am reducing the number of flying pests that I have been trying to remove since last season. Sometimes it makes two snaps in succession, a double whammy!!!! Like a home run with the bases loaded!!! Buy it, it works inside without any toxic chemicals, safe around pets and children too. Unless you have flies for pets, lol.

Works great
I've had this zapper for over a year now from Amazon so I feel I can comment a bit. Still working great! I do not have it plugged in constantly but will have it on for days at a time when for example there may be fungus gnats around due to overwatering plants. That said, I never really have a major flying insect problem, but I have heard it zap here and there when it does its thing. I have never used this outdoors so I have no idea how it would hold up exposed to the outdoors. I mostly agree with what I am reading in the AI summary (nicely implemented btw, kudos Amazon.) Of note: Ease of cleaning - definitely. I find it easy to unscrew the plastic bottom tray over a trash can and done. There has only ever been a little debris in there so in my experience it has not been gross. In addition to emptying the tray here and there I would recommend the occasional blast of air from a rubber rocket blower or whatever you prefer just to ensure no dust buildup. Noise level - it is completely silent except for the occasional zap. In my experience, this is like once or twice a day when plugged in. It can be a bit startling, but I do not think it is excessively loud, and I like that feedback that it is working. Brightness - it is on the bright side with the lights out but not with the lights on. I'd imagine it works better in a dark room. I wouldn't sleep in the same room with it unless you are tolerant to light and zaps or wear earplugs / sleep mask. My kill-a-watt P3 device tells methis is using 12W. Cord length – AI summary flagged this. My guess is this is intentional as tripping over the cable may damage the unit or you might fall. I've seen these short cables in other devices as a safety measure. I have never used an extension cord. I will position it near an outlet elevated on a chair or even the counter. I'd follow all manufacturer instructions regarding this and everything else about it. Lastly, while the zapping element appears to be just a bulb protected by a cage. I wouldn't go poking around it with it turned on. No where near water, children, pets etc. Just follow the manufacturer guidelines. Anyway, works great and I can def. recommend it. I do not love insects but hate to zap them. I only pull this out when they cross into the pest-zone and if you have ever had gnats, you know what I mean. Recommended!

Short cable
Works perfectly fine. The only point they need to improve is the design. The electric cable is short and it doesn’t come with tools to hang it in sealing and wall. They need to include a small set of tools for hanging it.

Cord is too short, falls easily when hung
Works excellent. Cord could be a little longer and the hook falls off when hanging it if it gets slightly bumped, but those are minor.

DO NOT BUY
This is not suitable for UK. It has a US socket and works off a lowet power meaning the moment you plug it makes awful clicking noise like its going to explode. Not even sure why its available in the UK
