SUPER LOUD, Must Wear Ear Plugs
There’s a reason the whistle comes with included ear plugs. You can seriously damage your hearing with this whistle which makes it more difficult to use. Super loud and you get what you pay for. Whistle is durable, well made. Color is as described. Lightweight, yet it’s bulky. Obviously it’s water resistant you can blow it under the water it states. My only complaints is the bulkiness you can’t just casually wear the whistle around your neck for EDC unfortunately.

Well, my tinnitus is worse; that is proof enough that this thing is LOUD!
I'll start by saying, do not be like me; this is not something to foolishly test out indoors, because, you easily run the risk of making yourself deaf, or, at least having some serious hearing damage. Don't be like me, and use this inside, as excited as you, rightfully, are, to test this the second it is delivered. I read, for a long time, what the "world's loudest whistle" was, and, found out about the Hyperwhistle. I can say, as the headline suggests, that this fits that bill, and then some. Pros: - This is easily the loudest whistle you can buy, so it is suitable for all sorts of applications. - Price is fantastic for what you get. - I tested this, on a long, pier, which is in a very rural area, with a friend, and the claims about distance, are accurate, if not a bit undersold; this could easily be heard much further away. - Does not require an immense amount of lung power to use, whilst still being ear-piercingly loud. - Unbelievably durable/well crafted - I wish more plastics/polymers were made to this standard, or, all were. This whistle can take a fall onto concrete from 3 stories, and it can be left outside (neither of those are anything I'd recommend), for 4 days straight, in a predominately saline environment, which does a good job at least tarnishing almost anything in less time, and, this shows NO signs of damage or anything; it looks brand new still after all of that. Cons: - I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this, and I have tried to find something.... - It isn't a "con", but, it sure would be nice, if this had the "NHL referee style" two finger ring guard, somehow implemented on future designs, or perhaps a variant product. The lanyard can do that job as well though. All said, this is a very very very, loud, whistle. I could see this being easily used for a means of self-defense, that would alert literally anyone, and buy someone time to escape whatever danger they are in. If more lifeguards had this - maybe they do use these, no idea personally - that also would be a very effective and affordable way to save lives, and, again, alert anyone on a beach. This is something that I would suggest anyone who wants to go hiking, or is into ANY form of exploration, be it nature, urban, etc. to have with them, as it really is tough enough to withstand anything, it CAN be used underwater (tested this myself, and even remembered to use earplugs), and, well, to avoid being more redundant, this could easily save your life, and it is so well made, that I've already been suggesting this to other people. I have nothing negative to say about it at all, because it's got the perfect price point for the quality, and accurate, if not modest, claims they make in their advertising for the product. 10/10 - 5/5 Stars - Excellent product, which I HIGHLY recommend! - RevengeOfThePiff

Well-built and very loud
So, this guy is VERY loud. It has three chambers, unlike the majority of whistles, which have one. I liked that it was sturdy and made of thick plastic. The three chambers and the thick plastic mean it won't fit comfortably in your pocket. It comes with a wrist lanyard, but depending on what you're using it for, you might want to purchase a neck lanyard instead. If you're going with a neck lanyard, you REALLY need a break-away lanyard. Not just for this, but for any neck lanyard. The last thing you need is for somebody to run by and get tangled up in it, or have it snag on a fence or brush. It's a good-looking whistle, but it won't look as nice on a strangled corpse - go with a break-away.

It’s three whistles in one…
EDIT: After reviewing my original review, I want to clarify a few things. First off I seem to have rambled about some things that may or may not matter. I kept the review posted since there is a few things you may pull from the information that are worthwhile. As far as the whistle goes, it’s loud enough to make you not want to use it lol! It hurts the ears for sure. It’s unfortunate the design isn’t made in a way that somehow directs the sound forward, but it surly will get the attention of anyone around you, or in the event of an emergency, those who are far away. I think for what it is, it’s a great device. I would give it 5 stars except for the simple fact that it hurts to use without ear protection. By no means should you skip on this for it’s intended use, but it would be nice if it projected sound forward so you could use it without ear protection and without the risk of damaging your ears. You want to scare the poop out of someone? Use this whistle around them without first giving them notice. You want to break up a fight? One deep breath and an exhale into this thing is and you’ll stop most people momentarily from doing what they are doing. You want to get the attention of an audience of people without the use of a microphone or shouting at the top of your lungs? This plastic whistle is your tool. It’s amazing the amount of noise such a small whistle can produce. Just buy it, you won’t be disappointed, but it might leave you with a hearing problem! The hyper whistle is ok, but it’s basically three whistles combined into one. There’s not really any ingenuity here beyond the combination aspect. Also, what’s stopping someone else from making the same whistle with say 4 ports or 5, possibly making it even louder. Speaking of, it’s loud for sure, but the curvature of the whistle makes the sound bounce back at the user rather than projecting forward. For as big as it is (and understand I may not fully comprehend the engineering of this whistle) why didn’t the manufacture just shape the cut outs toward the front, even if it added a little material. There is absolutely blowback here, this is why they send you a pair of 3M earplugs and recommend ear protection. Kind of a dumb repercussion to the user; hey here is the world’s loudest whistle but it’s going to damage your own ears in the process… It’s the equivalent of having an air horn that would spray sound in all directions rather than having the funnel so that the user may direct the sound. I purchased this whistle to scare or possibly intimidate dogs as a first line of defense. I do not have enough data to support the idea that this works, but I know it hurts my ears when used so I would suggest that it would probably deter some dogs for sure. The lanyard is excellent, I can wear this all day and forget it’s around my neck. Overall Hyperwhistle is onto something here but it needs to be refined honestly and then this would be an excellent product!

Loud and big but great
It's like blowing into a breathalyzer. Make sure you got earplugs in before you blow.

It's a whistle and it's loud.
It's a whistle. I got it to deter dogs while doing deliveries. Not sure it works that well for that but it really is pretty loud. Now I use an ultrasonic unit that seems to work better.

Loud, but not that loud
The whistle is not exceptionally loud. My students in the field at school cannot hear it. My regular whistle is better.

Very loud | Good Quality Material / Little large though
This is really something one of its own. Generally, people wouldn't need this. I bought out of curiosity as well as in some hope of using it in the future - which actually seems not happening.

Not your average sports whistle
This whistle is not your average sports whistle; it is super loud and has a range of up to 2+ miles, an impressive eight times the range of an ordinary whistle. One of the standout features of the HyperWhistle is its incredible sound output. A sound pressure level (SPL) of up to 142dB is eight times louder than your typical whistle. This makes it perfect for various situations, whether boating, attending sporting events, ensuring life safety, camping, hiking, or even police use. The durability of this whistle is also worth noting. It is built to withstand all weather conditions, making it a reliable companion no matter the environment. Whether it's raining, snowing, or even underwater, the HyperWhistle will continue to function flawlessly. I also appreciate the attention to detail in the design of this whistle. Its unique radial tri-frequency design ensures that the sound is carried efficiently and effectively, allowing it to be heard from a distance. Additionally, the whistle is naturally buoyant, adding an extra layer of convenience for water-related activities. The HyperWhistle comes with reusable hearing protectors, which is a thoughtful addition. This ensures that you can protect your ears while still enjoying the powerful sound of the whistle. The easy clip-neck lanyard is also a handy feature, allowing you to keep the whistle within reach at all times. It's worth mentioning that the HyperWhistle is a patented design (US8925478), which speaks to its uniqueness and quality.
