After the Eaton fire, a lot of the air quality sensors in the area went offline because, well, they burned. With the ash and soot in the air, having a local reading will be important, especially as they start hauling debris out. Setup is very simple and straightforward, the most difficult part will be mounting the outdoor sensor and running the Ethernet cable to the PoE adapter (or your own PoE switch). You have to create an account (what doesn’t these days), but you’ll then be able to access your sensors from anywhere. AQI, PM2.5, PM10, PM1.0, CO2, Temperature and Humidity are all reported. PM sensors on the outdoor unit are supposedly replaceable, we’ll see how easy that is and how much it costs when we get there.

2.5 Stars. Shipped promptly, interior unit seemed to work, but exterior sensor malfunctioning, wouldn't power up properly. Had to send bundle back, monies returned, went with PurpleAir system.

Poor customer service and the outdoor monitor requires specific plugs that most american households don’t have outside.

Not affordable

My grandmother bought this for me in 2023 during the wildfire nonsense from Canada. I have used it very lightly over those three years. Not being super rough with it. It crapped the bed on me and now it won't charge, it won't power on and nothing I do helps. My mother has one too and it started making a nasty buzzing noise. This is not a good quality product for the money. You pay an extremely unaffordable amount for something that will break down on you in a short period of time. Overall, when it works, it's fine, but it's not durable at all. Really disappointed in this product. would never buy again.
