LARQ PureVis Smart Self-Cleaning UV Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle

I know I should drink more water. I want to keep a bottle handy at my desk so that I don't have any excuses, but I hate that less-than-fresh taste of water that's been sitting around, even for a day. This Larq bottle solves the problem by using UVC light to kill any germs left from sipping your water. Don't be fooled; there are a lot of imitators, but THIS one has actually been tested and works to keep your water fresh. I have one for my desk, and 1 in my bedroom.

This worked so well. Used it throughout France on a recent trip, and never had to recharge it at all. I did dent it a little when I dropped it at the airport, but I would totally recommend it. While the water was fine where I travelled, it would be great at any trip (camping, backpacking, etc.) as well.

First thoughts when I received the bottle was how well it was packaged. Bottle looks and feels great. Has good tactile feel for gripping and weight. High quality steel and feels very durable with its double wall design. Definitely keeps the water cold for a long duration. The UV cap charges easily and works as directed. I like the fact my water bottle will keep sanitized constantly throughout the days and weeks without any mold or bacteria buid up. Overall I am very pleased.

This is my third bottle. I love the bottle but sometimes when I am traveling I may drop and on two occasions the top parts were damaged. Needs to be extra careful.

So far this bottle operates as how it is advertised. The paint may chip away at certain places but I got this bottle not for it's looks but for the cleaning function.

As someone who puts some concern on environmental exposure to chemicals, it’s disappointing to see the lid have super glue remnants from where the production team must’ve put too much glue on the electronics component and the excess glue was never cleaned off. Worse than this though is that the inside of the canister has a strong odor of super glue. The top electronic component which contains the UV light appears to simply be fit and glued onto the top of the lid opening with no barrier between the glue and the inside of the bottle. I will never drink from this bottle. The point is to prevent contaminates. Will the UV light remove chemical contaminants from the super glue? I think not and I definitely don’t trust a company with my health who doesn’t have good quality control in place. I will refund. It’s a shame. I was excited about this as I do spend a lot of time in South East Asia.

Purchased this product mostly for travel and because I was tired of the musty smell I have noticed with other bottles. I though the sanitizing light would take care of this. Although I'm sure that the light does its job for the main part of the bottle, because of the cap design, the light does not get to the upper part of the cap and this part, frequently, get musty smelling. In fact, it seems after every use this happens, so I have to wash the cap much more frequently that I expected. So, I was just very disappointed that the bottle does not address one of the main reasons I purchased it, especially given the price.

This drink bottle works well and did arrive earlier than the order had suspected. However, I specifically ordered the green bottle as it was a present and is their favourite colour, but they sent the original blue. Doesn’t matter too much as the bottle itself works well and the recipient loves it, but I payed a large amount of money and would have preferred to at least receive the right colour for that.

Effective and practical, although expensive.
