I was skeptical about premium certification for HDMI, but this solved my problem.
From a technology perspective, all HDMI cables should be the same, aside from build quality, but it seems some may not be built quite to the standards they claim to be. Internally, they're all pretty much exactly the same, so I figured things like "high speed" and "premium certified" were simply marketing gimmicks, similar to Monster cables, or cables with fancy looking designs. However, while there aren't any real differences between the pins and wiring of the different HDMI cables, there does seem to be differences in the build quality that required additional testing for proper certification. Normally this isn't much of an issue for 1080p content, but when you start getting into 4K/HDR territory, it can become an issue, as those higher formats require a LOT more bandwidth to transfer, and if a cable isn't built great, there are things that can limit the bandwidth or introduce interference. Premium Certification claims to test the cables to ensure they can deliver at least 18gbps, as the spec defines. This is perfect for 4K UHD Blu-ray, which I was having a problem with. My old HDMI cable (an AmazonBasics cable) resulted in my UHD Blu-ray player having a blank screen for several minutes sometimes. While eventually it would get a signal and hold that signal, there would still be long gaps when switching signal formats, such as switching from the Menu at 4K60 to the movie at 4K24, or switching to an HDR movie. With this new certified premium cable, the picture displays immediately, with no delay, every single time. It may not look pretty like some cables, but it does exactly what it describes itself to do, and that's exactly what I needed. Monoprice has always been my favorite choice for good cables at reasonable prices, and this is no exception.

OMG it worked!!!
It worked!!!! OMG, I think only the people who are trying to run long HDMI cable in 4K@60Hz will understand... Let's begin the review. I have a Denon AVR-S730H connected to a LG 65C7P with an Oppo UDP-203 providing 4K playback . I relocated my AVR to a wall opposite my TV (I wanted a really clean look under my TV). I have a crawlspace under the house where I'm currently routing my front left, right, and center speakers. I've been looking for a really long copper cable that will do 4K@60Hz with HDR enabled. Also, Deep Color support is required (I'm not settling for less dang it lol). I knew a 25ft cable would be the shortest possible cable that I would need and I cut it very close. I have very little slack on both ends, but it works! I enabled HDR and Deep Color on the TV, and 4K@60Hz 4:2:2 on the Oppo (4:2:0 is supposedly experimental). I also have the option for 4:4:4 but I didn't enable this on the Oppo. I doubt I will see a difference lol. After setting 4K60Hz 4:2:2 for a little while, I set the Oppo back to "Auto". If someone needs me to test 4K60Hz 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 let me know and I'll watch an entire movie. 4:2:0 is a given lol. I'm testing using John Wick 2 and I see no drop outs or sparkles! NOTE: I can't tell you yet the bits per channel (bpc). 4:4:4 will probably be 8pc, while 4:2:0 is 10bpc, and 4:2:2 is probably 12bit. Getting a long HDMI cable that actually works in my setup has been a real hassle. Yes, I could have gone with a Fiber optic HDMI cable, but look at the massive price difference. Always use the cheapest solution that works! Also of note, I also tried a 35 foot Monoprice Lux cable. Didn't work. I was getting sparkles before turning on deep color. Turning on deep color caused a loss of signal. Also of note, the number of interconnects matter. Oh yes does it matter. I would love to use a keystone hdmi connector for a really clean look, but I'm sure that will not work.

Did You Read the CNET Article?
I recently read a CNET article that explains why you don't need fancy HDMI cables. I had read something like this before, but having recently purchased a new 4K TV, AV receiver, and some associated accessories, I was interested in saving some money and CNET is usually trustworthy. The article mentions Amazon Basics and Monoprice. I started with the Amazon Basics cables and then ordered these. Both are great for the money and perform as they should. I was having a weird issue with my TV (Vizio P-series) and receiver (Yamaha Aventage line) with the Xbox One X being plugged in. It seemed like the picture was dropping (TV would not recognize signal from receiver) when I would use certain apps and games with the Xbox. I went through a lot of different settings and at one point questioned the cables (Amazon Basics). While I was able to rule that out eventually, I bought these just in case because they are certified premium, meaning they have gone through some rigorous testing and have the paperwork to prove it. This might be meaningful to some, as Amazon Basics cables do not have this feature. That aside, the Monoprice cables have a better flex jacket and shielding. The connectors seem a bit more solid and overall like a more premium product. They are so close in price that it really depends on your own personal preference. Frankly, I don't have enough HDMI sources at the moment to use both cables. I settled on the Monoprice ones and have the Amazon Basics as backups or future cables for other devices. Anything I had lying around in my cable collection was donated, so now I only have high speed cables (the others may have been, but out with the old...). All that aside, I highly recommend these if you want a slight bump up in build quality vs. the Amazon Basics.

Inspect the connector for symmetry! May cause device damage!
The 10’ cables work fantastic. This one (15’) on the other hand ruined one of my hdmi ports! There was a pin slightly off on cable and this caused the issue. One of the pins is now bent back and not repairable without new control board (facepalm). The irony is that this port didn’t need hdmi and the cable previously used would have sufficed. But since the price was right I decided to get a whole set and cover me for the future. Since I tout cables through the wall I use all 4 hdmi ports and this one was for my kids Nintendo switch. I will now have to buy an hdr capable switch to utilize one hdmi for more than 1 device! Be wary. Price is right but now damaged my new $2800 Sony’s 65” tv!!! Update: their customer service was top notch and I received a refund plus a hdmi switch to help with the lost input. Changed from 1 to 4 stars

Good Quality, 20’ Long HDMI Cable
I try to breakdown my reviews into sections to help readers easily understand my ramblings….. My needs: I do a lot of traveling through out the year and needed a cable long enough to connect an Apple Lightning/HDMI AV Adapter, to a TV, from my phone, while still being able to lay in just about any bed and be able to change the channel/movie (from my phone). Quality/Function - IMO: The cable is VERY thick and it seems like good quality. I tested the cable on several different televisions throughout the house. From the older 720p to the 1080p - looks great, the 4K @ 60Hz looks amazing and the game systems (PS4/Xbox) look just as good. Never heard of the MonoPrice company before but my first impression is - they care about delivering a quality product to their customers. S&H: Amazon had it to my door in a couple days time and the driver followed every delivery note perfectly. Product was delivered in pristine condition and packaged decently. Finally: I’ve only had the cable for about 3 days, testing it for about 48 hours, revolving it around my family members tv usage and so far I think the cable is great for the price. The last couple years I’ve had to care a lot more about price points while still insuring the quality is on point. Currently it’s sold @ $33 new and if you can find it offered as an “opened box” on Amazon (or EBay) you will save a decent amount of money (just make sure there’s at least a 30 day warranty).

Dolby Vision works with AppleTV on the 15ft cable (model 15430)
I can confirm the 15 foot version of this cable (model 15430) works with Dolby Vision with an Apple TV 4k along with my Xbox One X. I have this Monoprice cable running from my Sony receiver (STR-ZA810ES) to my Sony 85" TV (X850G). I have a non-certified 6ft Cablematters 8k cable running from my Apple TV to my receiver. The receiver, TV and Apple TV are all Dolby Vision capable. I mention this because my previous receiver wouldn't pass Dolby Vision through, so I upgraded it to the Sony which does. The AppleTV works in Dolby Vision mode and it also passes all the HDMI bandwidth tests. I played some Dolby Vision 4k HDR movies (e.g. Alita Battle Angel) through the Apple TV and it played without issue. AppleTV and the Sony TV both report the movie is running in Dolby Vision. I don't have any dropouts like I did with a different brand cable. I have the same setup with my Xbox One X running through the Sony Receiver and it reports Dolby Vision is supported. The Monoprice cable is running through the wall to my wall mounted TV. It has a good thickness to it and I like that it is certified, so I'm happy with the purchase.

The only 15ft cable I've tried that works with full 4k, 4:4:4 chroma
These have been the best and most reliable HDMI cables I've tried AND the only cables that I've tried that successfully send 4K 4:4:4 chroma over 15ft cables. So, here's the story: I bought a house with built in cable management in the walls. I bought Amazon high speed 4K HDMI cables, had our installer put everything in the walls and mount TV. unfortunately, every couple of days or so, when watching 1080p or 4k, the screen would turn into complete grey static and then go black. I'd have to power cycle my Apple TV to get an image again. Called the installer. had the installer remove the Amazon cables and replace them with Blue Rigger High Speed cables, 15ft. Few days later, same cutting out of image/static. I'd purchased 6ft cables from them before with no issue, previously. Unfortunately they couldn't handle a 4:4:4 signal at 15ft cable length. Bought these mono price cables. they work like a charm. No drop outs. No issues whatsoever. Finally! The cable seems to be of high quality - Amazon's prices are about double what Monoprice actually sells them for, but you get the advantage of free and much quicker shipping. Highly recommended.

Don't spend too much on HDMI cables
Bottom line: There is a little difference in quality between expensive HDMI cables, and budget ones...and the differences are NOT in the quality of the picture. It is going to work, or it isn't. So don't blow your money on buying cables 2x and 3x as much. These Monoprice cables are made of quality sheathing that is just the right flexibility, and the connector heads are not too big. They work great, and are priced right. I have owned a lot of Monoprice cables and products over the years, and they rarely disappoint (I had some guitar cables that the connectors were poor quality, but that is a review for another item). You will not be disappointed, and Monoprice is a quality company that stands behind their products.

The Perfect 2.0 HDMI Cable
Bought this to replace my factory Xbox One S HDMI cable as it wasn't long enough. Works flawlessly displaying 4K and HDR10 on my 2018 model Samsung NU8000 75" TV. Highly recommend.

Great Product
This is a well built cable And the video quality is miles above the other cable that I replaced. Especially for long lengths usually with projector setup when watching 4K the other cable had issues, this one is amazing. The cable is a little stiff but that is because it probably has better shielding and thicker gauge of wire. For long runs for projector use, do not look for anything else, buy this one.

As advertised, this cable is well-made and fits nicely into my TV.

Great quality. My ps4 pro picture has gone to a different level than before.
These are so good than any other cable I have used so far. Premium certified gives you the confidence that these will work straight out of the box and give you the full range of benefits. I am using this with ps4 pro and after plugging this in, the picture was on a completely different level with hdr on. I will buy monoprice products again especially when they are at a reasonable price and full certification. It works and its cheap as chips. Quality is great. Really thick cable but thats what you expect when you are buying properly specced items
