The Inteset 4K Splitter makes a great splitter no matter what your application is when you are looking to send HDMI video to any combination of HDTVs, monitors, or projectors up to four. An example of this would be to send the audio/video from a cable box to TVs in four different rooms. The Inteset 4k HDMI 2.0 Splitter is HDCP compliant which means that it does not strip or bypass HDCP. This splitter supports all versions of HDCP including HDCP 2.2. The quality of the HDMI cable used may impact the quality of the video received by your devices. Please use high quality HDMI cables to insure the best picture results.This device is NOT a switch. It cannot take the signal from more than one device. The Inteset 4k HDMI 2.0 Splitter is an active 4-port 4K HDMI splitter (distribution amplifier) which means that it actively amplifies and equalizes the input signal in order to perform at maximum specification. This signal amplification means that you can use a longer HDMI cable and achieve optimal results. This also means that if you are running two different display resolutions, the splitter will run both displays at the lower resolution. If you have a 1080p or 720p TV, the signal sent to both from the splitter will end up being limited to 1080 or 720p whichever is less unless you use a downscaler between the splitter and the 720p TV.
