UPDATE: No ball jamming
8-2-21: Just received the replacement (very quickly). No ball jamming, so far. The hose has no kinks either. Perfect. Will try it out when we have another torrential downpour. Thank you! I am returning this item. The glass ball jams all the time making it impossible to siphon. It even jams when not trying to siphon.

The Original Safety Siphon 1" Valve Siphon Pump
Firstly, this is a true 1" I.D. (inside diameter) hose. The increased flow rate of this siphon pump compared to the 1/2" diameter (Original Safety Siphon) that I have been using is insane. I use this to drain my aquarium of 15 gallons of water at a time... it just took a little over one minute. I should have picked this up a long time ago. My biggest gripe is that there were 2 kinks in the hose when I received it, otherwise it's great. A little expensive but all USA components and assembly.

Nice and big...actually too big to fit into gas can
We carry 5 gallon plastic gas cans and usually bring 10 or more at a time to transfer fuel and previously had the 3/4" that worked great but was looking for a faster transfer rate. However, the siphon valve does not fit into the gas can opening.

Great product bad shipping method
Very nice product by when being shipped it got a kink in it and being heavy duty hose I can't get the kink out reducing the flow dramatically

A very effective syphon.
I use it to drain a large aquarium. It syphoned extremely well-I believe it’s close to the 10GPM as advertised. I had no trouble starting the syphon but it was difficult for my daughter to use. It is very important to continue to shake until the flow is clearly established with no bubbles.
