I have the short and long. I wish the long was 4 inches longer and slips sometimes . Overall I like them.

I was trained in a salon that used these mantles and got used to how handy they are when cutting A-line bobs and similar styles that you may need to cut the hair against the skin. Has a nice weight to it as well so it stays put during use as well. I searched every salon supply store I could find and most of them didn't even know what a "cutting mantle" even was, so I'm glad Amazon had it!

I purchases this for my son's barber because my son is really sensitive and has a hard time tolerating the feel of cut hair on the back of his neck or falling down his shirt. Since she's started using this, it has alleviated all of his complaints He no longer has to bring another shirt to change into after haircuts and this collar has prevented any hair from getting on his neck. I left the collar with her so she could use it with other clients and she says it has come in really handy with her younger clients. Several of the others barbers asked for the link in order to purchase one of these collars for themselves, they were all very impressed by it. For note, my sons is autistic and has sensory restrictions. This mat has helped him tremendously.

I am a hairstylist and it helps greatly for giving me a clean line for cutting men’s hair or short hair. It flattens the cape so for long hair it helps the long hair hang more naturally. Great for keeping the client dry at the sink as well. More protection for color applications as well. Very happy with this product. It is much lighter than the ones used years ago.
