I recently took the Marretoo Car Roof Bag on a long road trip, and I have to say, it made the journey so much easier! We were heading off for a week-long camping trip and needed extra space for all our gear. This roof bag provided 21 cubic feet of storage, which was more than enough to fit everything we needed without overcrowding the car. I was able to pack up camping chairs, a tent, sleeping bags, and more—essentially everything we needed for the trip—and still had room to spare. One of the things I really appreciated was how well the bag performed in less-than-ideal weather. It rained during part of our trip, but the bag kept everything dry and secure. The material feels tough and durable, and the zippers were easy to operate, even with gloves on. The anti-slip mat that came with it was also super helpful in keeping the bag stable on the roof, preventing any movement while driving. I also found the installation to be surprisingly easy. We have a roof rack, and it took just a few minutes to strap the bag down securely. It stayed in place the whole trip without any shifting, and I didn’t have to worry about it at all. When we weren’t using it, the bag folds up neatly, making storage a breeze, which was a bonus. However, I did notice one small thing—because the bag is on the larger side, it can look a bit bulky when it’s not fully packed. If you only have a few things to carry, it might seem a little excessive. Also, if you’re loading it onto a higher car, you might need a little extra reach to get it securely placed, but once it’s on, it’s all good. In all, I’m really happy with the Marretoo Car Roof Bag. It made our trip so much smoother by freeing up space inside the car, and knowing everything was protected from the weather was a huge relief. If you’re looking for a way to bring extra luggage along on a road trip or vacation, I highly recommend this bag. It’s durable, waterproof, and super easy to use!

This roof bag is amazing! It was our saviour on a recent road trip & allowed 4 of us and a dog to travel comfortably for a 10 day trip to the Outer Hebrides. It had plenty of waterproof testing and kept all of our stuff 100% dry. Very easy and quick to take off and on the roof. Great value for money; I definitely recommend!

So i planned the holiday was 300 miles away from home I had a sneaky feeling the luggage tent ect wasn’t going to fit. I was absolutely correct after a lot of research I came across this bag I didn’t have roof bars so it seemed perfect. I can tell you now I have done over 600 miles with this roof bag on and it did not move an inch. It stayed still and sturdy on the motorways. It is really good quality and brilliant value for money. We did have some rain but it seemed to keep everything dry. Really straight forward to put on. We managed to get so much in there and now won’t be going camping without it. I highly recommend.

This is a great idea, especially if you drive a tall car, and don't want to be driving around at your holiday destination with a roof-box on and so you're restricted from certain carparks that only allow cars under a certain height in. Make sure your car door can accommodate the car hooks that come with it. We drive a Dacia Bigster 2026, and there's no way we could use the car hooks without actually damaging the car. Plus, the roof doesn't feel strong enough to allow for something like this to lie on it filled with our stuff. So we bought roof bars and laid the bag across them, and it seemed to work and it allowed us to remove the bag when we got to our destination. Watch out for the cables thumping on the roof of your car as you drive along - our journey home sounded awful until we pulled over and traced the sound to a cable (which looked secure enough) that the motorway, rushing wind was thumping against the roof. Easily fixed when we removed it.

Bought this a few years ago, and have just completed our third week away using this bag to transport our luggage from South Wales to Minehead. The material is very hardy, with no signs of wear even three years later, transporting four suitcases (two larger, one mid sized, and one small), securely. Weather conditions were absolutely atrocious today but everything was kept nice and dry inside. Highly recommend.

After running out of space in my car to transport a large tent and everything else (incl. the kitchen sink) for a couple of weeks camping, I decided to get this roof bag after reading several positive reports on a camping forum. I did not want the extra expense of having to buy & fit roof bars to my car, so a roof bag was a much cheaper, better and easier solution to my car storage issues. My car has roof rails, and there was no problem fitting the clips, straps and bag to my car. I am so glad I chose Marretoo as the bag looks and feels really solid. The car frame clips were quite difficult to fix to the car, but I managed it and easily refitted the door seals over the clips. In fact, I've decided to leave the clips and hooks on my car (with hooks tucked inside) having heard others suggest the same without any problems. The 15l bag seems huge, I only part filled it (with mostly soft items), but it stayed solid the whole journey (~100 miles), thanks to the large non-slip mat and 3 sets of securing straps. I had read that the straps make 'knocking' noises at speed, but overcame this by twisting the straps before securing them, which eliminated any noise at all. Packing the bag was easy enough, though I’d advise mounting the bag on the car roof first, then fill the bag on the car – tall person or step stool / ladders needed. The 2 zips made packing and unpacking the bag really easy, and the instructions were good and helpful. The bag did not move in transit, and the contents were 100% protected and dry on arrival after driving through some rain. I didn't think I’d be able to pack it back into its carry bag, but it does pack down quite small again for storage. I can’t comment on the locks for the zips as I've not tried them yet. I’m looking forward to using this bag again for many more years camping trips. I definitely recommend this roof bag.

I, like others, read the reviews carefully before purchasing. So it's only fair that I also add one! Really impressed with our first use this weekend (2hrs each way on dual carriageway and country roads). It does take a bit of time to set up but I expected that. I'm sure it'll be quicker the more it is used. Like some advised, I stopped about 10 minutes into each journey to check the tightness of the straps. The first journey I had to tighten; no issues the second journey. We bought the 21l version. It fitted a camping table, 3 large camping chairs, 2 smaller ones, 4 airbed boxes, a large rucksack, a small suitcase, various bits of sporting equipment and 4 pillows. Really impressed with the capacity. Overall, if you don't want to spend a fortune on rail bars and a box, then this is something I would seriously consider. I suppose the ONLY thing you may wish to take into consideration is it does sit on the car roof, albeit with an anti-slip mat. I have quite an old car so wasn't bothered if it got a few scratches - it didn't btw - but is worth adding to the review.

So happy I bought this roof bag, really good quality strong material. I have a citroen C4 grand picasso and was using 6 of the 7 seats for a holiday, needed some extra storage and did a lot of research before choosing this one. Loads os space inside, filled the top of the car, easy to position, so easy with 2 people but wouldn't be a problem on your own. The tether straps were easy to fit under the door seal, did a 165 mile journey and nothing moved, wish I had bought one years ago. I went for a bag rather than a box for storage reasons when not in use, plus no roof bars needed.
