The scent is gentle and pleasant, and the consistency is a light a clear gel. With some water and a warm temperature massage I felt all the dirt and stress of the day wash away. My skin is normally irritated and sensitive, but it responded very well to this product. I liked how my skin felt clean but not dried out, just like I would hope a mild cleanser would be.This is a perfect travel size and works so well that I wished it came in a larger tube. Excellent facial cleanser.
