Full-Back Silver & Gold Comic Book Backing Boards 7 1/2" x 10 1/2"

Sturdy boards. Much sturdier than the ones that came with the comics I purchased. Also claims to be treated for PH which if it makes my comics last another 25 years or more....major plus.I also purchased these to protect my stored paperback trades as well as the floppies. The modern size worked fine for less thick trades. Used slightly bigger 'Silver/Golden' bags and this size backer to go with moderately thick trades too big for modern sized bags.Only 'cons' are that they are pricey (but you get more protection for that price) and that the polyester 'mylar' bags that these are meant to go with are somewhat irritatingly noisier when moved about then the cheaper plastic ones. (I only see the latter as a true nuisance if you plan to shuffle your books around for an extended period of time.)

Bought them because the standard sizes were too small for my old Dell and Gold Key comics. These fit perfectly, especially the Dells which were the widest. Crystal clear bags and stiff boards. They really make old comics look new again. Pretty expensive, but a great product.Be aware, they do not fit in the plastic BCW short box unless you put them in sideways. The standard sizes do.

Very disappointing to see E Gerber has changed the Full Back to really a Half Back as one side is now Brown. Also the boards are now thinner than they used to be. Making the 42 Mil inaccurate.Still one of the best comic boards out there... Unfortunate that the company has cheapened them... I don't know if this was to protect profit margins or what. As a long time customer of E Gerber... it is disappointing.

These are the best in the business. These archival quality backing boards are ideal for storing important documents. I use them for comic books from the 1960's - 1980's. Because both sides are acid free (hence, full-back) I was able to double my storage. By using these boards with slightly oversized Mylar bags, I'm now able to store books both in front of and behind a single board in a single sleeve. E. Gerber products are the best out there and I'll buy more as I need them.

I pair these with Gerber Silver Age Mylar to store all my Silver Age comics including 100 page Giants. Keeps them flat and well preserved even if dropped.

Gerber has, apparently, made the decision to change their product by issuing "Brownbacks". One side is white while the other side appears to be a rougher brown color. In light of this change, I can't see how the entire board is now alkaline. It is unknown if this is caused by a supply chain problem, a desire by Gerber to maintain or increase profit margins in the face of inflation, or some other factor. What is known is that this is a real disappointment to Gerber's longtime supporters.
