I thought 'Vixenhead' was a vivid read, about buried damage done by the past that comes back to the surface. It's written in a direct, entertaining style and has plenty of psychological insight. Its characters, especially Tom Oxley, are revealed layer by layer as it progresses. It's not predictable, and its non-cliched ending added to my enjoyment.
