Yes there is a small geometric print on the reverse side of the quilt

Is this more of a summer or winter quilt?

More of a summer quilt because of it's weight. I use it for both however and just add another blanket.

Is the actual weight of the king sized 3 lbs? if so why is the shipping weight 9.05 lbs?

I just received my twin sized quilt - put it on the scale, still packaged: weighs in at close to 5 pounds - so 9 pounds for a king sounds about right.
