I am allergic to sunscreens, apparently - annoying. This one has only a few ingredients, nothing weird and chemically, no need to cross-reference every incomprehensible word to see what it is and how it might mess up my face. Because zinc sits on top of the skin, it isn’t an irritant, but effectively reflects the sun - great. I tried Badger a long time ago when my kids were tiny and to be honest I didn’t like it enough to repurchase. I found it chalky and hard to spread. But someone recommended I try it again and I did, mainly because I couldn't find anything else like it (most of the zinc formulas have a bunch of other weird stuff in them). Badger must have improved the formula in the years since because it’s great now. It leaves no cast (granted, I am fair-skinned) and it feels wonderful. It’s slick in a nice way and feels *almost* greasy but it doesn’t leave any shine and actually works really well as a primer under foundation. I love it so much. It’s one of those products where I feel motivated to write a review so that enough people buy it that it doesn’t get discontinued (ie this review is self-serving). So get yourself some Badger spf, please ;)

I am always buying new sunscreens and trying to try to solve for getting myself to actually use it every day. I've really liked products from Elta MD, Babyganics, and, of course, Badger. My hot take: This is my go-to daily sunscreen. It meets 4.5/5 of my criteria. TL;DR My priorities with a sunscreen, in order of importance, are: 1. Adequate protection - at least SPF 30. I prefer SPF 50 though. 2. Mineral ingredients - zinc or titanium oxide. 3. Texture of the sunscreen - I'm fine with a little white cast, but I don't like chalkiness. 4. Convenience of application - so I'll actually use it. 5. Sustainability - I try to use less plastic and aerosol cans stress me out (inhalation, hard to recycle). Badger Sport Mineral Sunscreen Tin - SPF 40 / Badger Adventure Sport Mineral Sunscreen Tin - SPF 50 - Mineral ingredients: uncoated zinc oxide 25% - All natural ingredients and very safe for our Earth's waters. It's just the uncoated zinc oxide (active) and sunflower oil, beeswax, and sunflower vitamin E (inactives). No ingredient names I have to google. And 98% of ingredients are organic if you care about that (I don't really). - Protective SPF 40 and 50 available. Water resistant 80 mins. - Goes on easy once you've warmed it slightly either by rubbing the product onto your fingers or letting it sit in the sun for a couple minutes. - I can feel this sunscreen. They aren't kidding about using beeswax. This stuff is a bit sticky! However, I appreciate that I can physically feel if I've put enough product on different sections of my body. It takes a bit to absorb, but once it does, it's very moisturizing and feels nice. - Comes in an adorable metal tin that is so easy to reuse or recycle. It makes me think of Altoids tins and how some folks reuse those/create art with them. - Very compact, takes up almost on room. - Decent price at $5.62/oz. I paid $26.99 for a pack of two tins. Each tin contains 2.4 oz. of product. Cons: - Takes a little longer to apply. It's not always convenient/easy to get the product out of the tin. - If you're not used to the sticky sensation, it could throw you off. - You can get gunk inside the tin, which can be annoying to get out. In contrast, a bottle that's more sealed off wouldn't have this issue. - The tins are wrapped in a thin bit of plastic, so it's not a totally one-time-use plastic free experience.

I bought this for a trip to Jamaica and got zero sunburn with a single application per day. The sunscreen is quite thick; you need to be patient with application and rub it all the way in. But if you do, you will walk past all the scorched people at the resort knowing you bought and used the correct sunscreen.

Can't help myself, but I often do extensive research before I buy a product. No different with this one. I'm prone to getting "sun poison," which causes me to have large splotchy areas all over when the sun is strong in the summer-- even if I'm not directly in the sun. My dermatologist advised me to wear a sunscreen that's mineral and at least 50 SPF. She said they are effective because they provide broad spectrum protection and are especially good for sensitive skin. This product came highly recommended from several sources. I bought it for a summer trip I was making to Europe for three weeks where I'd be outside quite a bit. It didn't disappoint. First, I have honey-colored skin, which makes it difficult to wear mineral sunscreens. They tend to leave a white cast, which often doesn’t disappear even with extensive rubbing. Second, because of my allergies, I can’t wear anything with fragrance. As advertised, this product is unscented and hypoallergenic as well. I like the fact that it’s made from natural ingredients. When applied it didn’t leave a white residue as most mineral screens do. That made regular application quick and easy. No problems with sunburn or splotchiness on my skin after being outside. I definitely recommend this product.

As a family, we're very committed to using non-chemical, mineral-based sunscreens, especially for our toddler. After a lot of searching, this Badger sunscreen has become our go-to, and for the quality of the ingredients, it's a price winner. I love that it's made with 98% natural ingredients, giving me peace of mind about what I'm putting on our skin in the intense Florida sun. From a practical standpoint, the packaging is great. The size is perfect to fit in any bag, whether it's my purse or the diaper bag for a trip to the park. It's also very easy to squeeze the product out of the tube, which isn't always the case with thick mineral sunscreens. Now, like most mineral sunscreens, it's not without its cosmetic downsides. The two things we don't love are the noticeable white cast it leaves behind, and the fact that it's a bit too greasy for face use. However, for us, these are trade-offs we are happy to make. We don't mind dealing with a bit of a white cast in exchange for an effective, non-chemical sunscreen that we trust. The protection is excellent, and that's what matters most to us.

Great sunscreen with no lab created ingredients. No scent either. It is white in color (from the zinc) ... but once you work it in to your skin, the white-ness goes away. Like the fact that it comes in a tin. With plastic tubes, I have to cut the end of the tube to get the remaining sunscreen out that won't / can't be squeezed out. Before I stated using Badger sunscreens, I used UV Natural sunscreen (made in Australia) ... but unfortunately they went out of business during the COVID-19 pandemic. Badger is just as good!!! They have other lotion / balm products that I've tried and all have been great ... for my needs. Only bummer part is Amazon's delivery service. Sometimes they deliver your package un-damaged, sometimes not. (See photo). That's why I sometimes order direct from BadgerBalm themselves ... especially when they have discount promo's.

This is my holy grail. I have come from a long battle with cystic acne. This is my everyday spf. It’s gold because the ingredients double it as a moisturizer. I use my acne products, and then use this spf as my last step and it does double duty as my moisturizer as well. I’ve never had an issue with it breaking me out or disturbing my skin, I swear it has helped my skin barrier so much. I love that it’s spf 50 for extra wrinkle protection. (The girlies know) And it always helps calm down my face. I never know what my face will react to— and this has been a staple for me through the worst of times and the best of times. Make sure you rub your hands/fingers together to heat it up and make it soft and malleable before applying. A little goes a longggg way. Badger is my ride or die.

Im a swim instructor and so far this is the best sunscreen ive ever used. Ingredients, longevity, the clear zinc, and reef safe! Everything you need in a sunscreen. Only badger from now on.

Bu ürün 50 faktör olması yanında alışılmışın dışında metal oval bir kapta. Kullanımı kolay. Ufak çantaya bile sığar. İçeriği beyaz, ilk başta sert. Parmakla alınınca yumuşak krem haline geliyor. Kolay dağılıyor. Uygulaması da kolay. Kokusu yok. Fakat iyice yedirmek gerekiyor cilde, özellikle yüzünüze sürecekseniz. Ciltte ilk başta beyaz duruyor ama dağıttıkça azcık düzeliyor. Ciltte ki kızarıklıkları da kapatıyor ! Yüzünüz aydınlık oluyor. Güneşte kesinlikle yüzünüz terlemiyor, yanmıyor. Mükemmel bir ürün. Bu markanın her ürününü zaten severek kullanıyorum. Fiyatı döviz kurundan dolayı yüksek yoksa Amerika'da çok ucuz bir markadır. Fiyatını da hakediyor. Tavsiye ederim.

İndirimden aldım, ailecek kullanıp göreceğiz yaz mevsiminde. Kokusuz ve organik olması çocuklarıma daha sağlıklı olacağı için tercih ettim.

Doğal bileşenlerden oluşuyor.. Esas olarak; çinko mineralli sayesinde, yansıtma yaparak koruma sağlıyor. Fiziki bariyer oluşturuyor. Kullanılan çinko Nano değil. Yani; vücut emiliminin düşük olacağını düşünüyorum. Tercih etmemizin başlıca sebeplerinden biri bu husustu. Titanyumsuz, nano olmayan çinko. (Biz nano olmayan istiyorduk, çinko vücuda faydalı bir mineral olsa da fazlası zararlı olabilir diye düşündük)Suya dayanıklılık konusunda ortalama bir performansa sahip. Daha sık uygulama gerektirebilir. Kıvamı nedeniyle sürmesi biraz zorluyor. Çok çok beğendiğim bir ürün. Lakin maliyeti fazla.
