In what country is this made?

I’m sorry but I don’t know where it was made…it is of good quality and I purchased it as a wedding gift…my only issue is that it’s shipped in a thin cardboard box with no protective wrap around it other than a piece of thin plastic and the first one I purchased I had to return it because in the shipping process the box was gouged and the wood was severely damaged so I had to return it…the second one I purchased was undamaged even though that box was gouged also….it is great good looking charcuterie board though

Is the surface smooth so you can put drinks on it?

Yes it is smooth. I used it to create a charcuterie board for a birthday party

Mine arrived and has a seam going down it so it's not all 1 piece of wood. Looks like 2 pieces of wood glued together. Is that expected?

I bought this for my sister and I didn't see a seam.
