Did not work for 1968 VW Engine but might be OK for older engines
The overall quality of the kit is not bad and has enough cutters to cover almost any valve size you are likely to come across. The pilots are a bit undersized, which is not a big deal, in practice. The cutters are problematic. The grind is not very good, so only a few teeth made contact. With light pressure it would not cut at all, and with heavy pressure it chatters and produces bad finish. The bottom line is that it didn't work for re-cutting stock 1968 VW valve seats. I tried only one cutter, though, so I might be unlucky. YMMV
