This replacement cylinder is better than the original cylinder that came with the chair. It was easy to install and a great value. I really like the extra height of the chair. It feels very sturdy.

Original bought the chair from biglots at local store, chair from day one has these issue where moment i sat in drop bought half inch and popped up when i got up it also creep down slowly at random whiling sitting in it, i ignored it cause was not bad and the chair was comfortable in last month starting 5-01-2023 it start sinking 1-2 inchs just from me sitting in it and sinking while sitting in it alot to point i would have pull the lever just to make go back up which wasn't making it go up ( had to pull up) On 6-10-2023 the lift was lost on cylinder. So I bought it next day it was sale go figure. New cylinder works great for now ( and i hope permanently), I only way 110lbs this rated for 1000lbs so this should have zero issue any time soon i hope. Seeing I spent 30 minutes the other day just removing the old cylinder, This was easy to install, put one end into wheel side and other in to chair ( dont forget to remove cap on top cylinder so will go up when pulling the lever). Now the chairs max height was bout 1" higher then the old cylinder, but I adjusted it to height needed, I now have zero drop in height when I sit in it. and staying at height i need. Was not really happy that box that cylinder was in was open cylinder fell out box as grab box out brown bag it was in and plastic bag the cylinder was in was open too the rest of plastic bag in it where sealed. And seeing as I need cylinder I just use it as it didnt look damaged If it goes bad I will update

Bought replacement to fix favorite realspace desney chair I had bought to work from home during pandemic. I am a big guy 6'3 375, and the cylinder for the chair gave out, it had been out a while. Decided to take a look at replacement cylinder to fix rather than replace favorite chair. First of all the hardest part about replacing cylinder was removal of cylinder. The following is soe advise to do so. You will need a rubber mallet or hammer. WD-40 and a pipe wrench. 1. Spray wd-40 around base of chair where cylinder connects to base. let sit overnight if possible. 2. To remove cylinder from bottom of chair use pipe wrench grip firmly a couple of twists later top part of cylinder is removed from chair. 3. turn base over use square wooden block over the base part of the cylinder sticking out the bottom of base. And hammer out. 4. After old cylinder is out line up new cylinder remove cover at top before sliding into the bottom of seat Just some advice to help anyone out there, Like i said I am a buy guy pretty sure the old cylinder was pretty in there. New cylinder appears to be sturdier and higher for sure. Chair is comfortably at typing height on kitchen table. Would definitely buy again.

Absolute trash! Once attached to the chair, it was as though I was sitting in a child's highchair. Ordered a replacement and found that it was virtually impossible to remove the cylinder that made my chair into a ladder! Had to virtually destroy the device cylinder in order to replace it with a correct part. Because of the damage makes it impossible to return for refund.

For the longest time, my office chair kept sliding down and was too low for me to use comfortably. I was reluctant to buy a replacement cylinder because I thought the repair would be difficult. When I finally purchased one, I was surprised by how easy it was to install. In less than 30 minutes, the job was done. Now I'm enjoying my chair as if it were brand new.

Followed the instructions provided under the product specifications and easily replaced the component. Works perfectly fine and better than the existing one i had in the chair. Highly recommend if you are looking to buy.

Hola, he comprado este cilindro para una silla que compre y me llego sin cilindro, ya puse este cilindro y no se si no le quedo o lo estoy instalando mal pero no hace la elevacion. Le mando fotos para que me indique si estoy haciendo algo mal o es que no es de la medida para la silla. (Creo que debo quitarle ese como tapon verde pero no quiero hacerlo sin estar segura).

Arrived with no instructions - I googled it to find out how to remove old cylinder and installed this new one....ended up with a chair that does not adjust in height or bounces a bit for a soft landing. At least it does not shrink down when I'm working on it. I bought a more expensive version so I was hoping for better. At least it swivels and is set a height I can use - and the white trim matches the chair. Disappointed with Staples for selling me a chair that had a hydraulic that wore out within a year and not impressed with the replacement I purchased here for more money.
