Windows and Doors: Expert Advice from Start to Finish (Taunton's Build Like a Pro)

It's my own fault for not reading the details about what was covered but I thought it would talk about building windows from scratch. It turns out I needed this information too so I kept it.

I have purchased books by this publisher before and really like the way all the content was presented. It has good guidance, clear directions, good pictures to enhance the information presented. I would recommend this to anyone needing more information on projects with windows and doors. This book would help the do-it-yourselfer and the customer of an installation to be informed about a project.

I have a 100 + years old house with the original windows. They have a section on Tuning Up Old Windows which I found very helpful. There are only a few pages on this subject for old windows. The information is straight forward and to the point.

FANTASTICALLY INFORMATIVE. MADE TEADIOUS WOOD WORKING MORE SIMPLE AND ALOT OF FUN. GIVE IT A TRY.

Pretty general information and suggestions on interior and exterior doors, windows and skylights. Plenty of illustrations, tips, "trade secrets" and "what could go wrong" tidbits. There is enough information here to get the DIY'er in some trouble - not enough detail to really be able to DIY it, but enough to think so. Good general information, but I would not solely rely on this book as a "how to".

Oh I like this book, easy reading and a good resource of information.If you are a novice, it is good for references but if you are a beginner, it is a wealth of knowledge.Clear text and comprehensible, plenty of pictures and clear drawings, well put together.I would highly recommend it to anyone!

Not what i expected from the title...disappointed because i wanted a source to teach me how to replace my windows by myself..it gives a over view but no trade directions no what u should do what to expect great that i did not pay much for this book

Step by step instructions with lots of pictures and illustrations.
