How does everyone else use this? i feel like more often than not I don't feel it when it clicks and I have to loosen it and retorque again.

The one I have has a substantial click-over. It takes 1/4 to 1/2 turn before it clicks over. This tool does not have a hard stop, etc.

What Torque value is the tool set at? Is it adjustable?

It is set to 4 inch-lbs from the manufacturer. I checked it against a calibrated scale and mine was accurately set. Just remember to twist the tool until you hear and feel a loud CLICK.

Has anyone ever used this for hvac schrader cores? How did it work?

I don't used for hvac. used for valve stem core for tire. it look similar.

It's about the size of a short, fat Sharpie. The dimensions must be for the product packaging.
