Recommended these for storage of fresh fruits in fridge. Fantastic well over a week (eaten before second week) I have spent silly money on fancie fruit storage they don't work

These are my favourite jars for storing, fermenting and keeping my sourdough starter because of their wide mouth - which means it’s easier to get stuff in and out and clean them.

Jars are compatible with the wide mouth mason jar lids. I'm always wary of the poor quality ripoffs supported and profited from on Amazon. So my hunch is that these are authentic. Time will tell...and if they are: Oh me, oh my, those kilner shareholders are making a steal and I do wonder if they pay enough tax to keep public services going? I can't begin to justify the price.

The base mold was misaligned in my batch, such that one side of the base was so thin it spontaneously chipped right through on one of them, leaving a hole (I've only been doing sourdough starter and handwashing them, no rough treatment). Not that impressed by the lids either, I have to apply some downward force to get the threads to mesh, or they end up screwing on misaligned.

J'ai acheté un lot de 3 bocaux Kilner 500ml. Il y a des défauts de fabrication (voir le cercle sur l'arrière des bocaux) et le poids n'est pas consistant (voir aussi la difference de poids dans les photos). C'est dommage pour le prix que ça coute, ceci dit ça fait le job pour mon levain.

Sehen zwar stabil aus, eines ist beim Einkochen gebrochen... Die Deckelfunktion ist doch nicht so optimal wie gedacht, produziert zu viel Druck.
