thought i was screwed but this fixed my Volcano
Had a Volcano classic for more than three years. It is a workhorse. I was kind of careless and "flicked" the rocker switch, causing the plastic red part and spring to pop out.It was a giant bummer but then I rigged the switch somehow to get it to come one after sticking it back in and holding it with electrical tape. However, each day it took more fiddling to get it to turn on. Also, I couldn't turn it off so I had to be really careful about unplugging it when I was done. You can see there this could be a problem. Didn't really want to send it back for warranty cause I don't use it for oils or whatever and it has medicinal residue on there. Then I found this and the instructions to replace it and my anxiety level is way down. It worked great and the instructions were good although you need a Torx-8 tool to take the housing off to replace the switch and you need to be careful when unplugging terminals. They are well made but you just need to be careful with things.

Perfect Volcano Vaporizer replacement!
This is the perfect replacement for a Volcano Vaporizer (circa 2008) rocker switch. Both my HEAT and AIR buttons went lame after about 4 years of 365 day use. They would still switch on and off, but I'd have to keep pressure to one side, and be gentle. Enough of that nonsense...FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS1. Use a size 8 Torx security bit to remove the screws, and remove the stainless steel cover. Be gentle. Mine had a wire attached at the back, only allowing me to remove it so far.2. Remove the wires from the male ends of the old rocker switch. This took me quite a while, and it became clear that they didn't want the average Joe messing with it. So I used an exact-o blade to cut the plastic housings covering the connection point. Then I was able to use needle nose pliers to remove the wires at the connection point. I kept the plastic housing to put back on after.3. Remove old rocker switch. I just broke the plastic spring piece to get it out. You can remove it and keep it in tact, but its much more difficult and involves a lot of awkwardly placed finger pressure. Pop the old one out, but don't throw it out yet!4. **IMPORTANT** Remove the BLACK RUBBER RING from your old switch. The new ones (however awesome) DON'T have them, so it's a keeper, and worth its weight in gold. Now place it on the new rocker switch. It will fit like a dream only because of this o-ring piece.5. Make sure you have your switch facing the right direction, because you only get one shot at the next part. Pop it in, and attach the wire connections CORRECTLY!6. Use something wet to clean all the dust from the inside of the machine, and thank your lucky stars. You just gave your Volcano Vaporizer another 4 years of life. I love you Germany. I love you for producing the BMW of Vaporizers...

Keep rubber "O" ring from old rocker switch!!
I removed the old rocker switch and plugged in this new replacement switch. I found that no matter whether the new switch was pushed to 'on' or 'off' the volcano heating element was still on, along with the red light of the switch and the control light. I was mad thinking I had gotten a defective replacement switch, then I came here and read the reviews. Someone had mentioned in their review that you MUST KEEP THE RUBBER O RING FROM THE OLD ROCKER SWITCH!!! This is very important.I removed the o ring from the old switch, pulled out the new switch and put the o ring on it, then replaced it into the volcano. After doing this, the switch worked as it should and now can be switched on and off. I'm surprised more people haven't had this problem with their switch not working as the replacement doesn't come with the o ring.Thank you to the person who mentioned this in their review. I just wanted to reiterate this fact. Works great.

Perfect Replacement
This was the perfect replacement for the power switch on my Volcano Classic. The original switch had broken due to many years of use so I finally had to replace it. I am so happy I found this or I would have ended up buying a whole new Volcano. This was easy to install and I had my Volcano back up and running in no time.

worked like a charm on an 2007 model.
Retain the "O" ring from the original switch and put it on the new switch for the best fit. Fired right up.

This switch is an exact replacement and worked fine.
This was a replacement switch for a portable heater. The heater manufacturer told me they couldn't sell me a replacement but I could send the heater to them and for $5 they would tell me how much it would cost to repair. This switch is an exact replacement and worked fine.
