Power Rangers: S.P.D.: The Complete Series

well Power Ranger fans here it is in a nut shell. Earth welcomes aliens from all over to live on earth in peace but the bad guy wants to take over ( sound familiar?) Starts out with 3 rangers then to 5 then of coarse later on number 6. Nice cross over with previous Rangers. There is some closure at the end. Enjoy

Power Rangers S.P.D. 2005 "The year is 2025, Earth has become a haven for all Alien races who come from the farthest reaches of the galaxy to live in peace. 99% of the incomers live in harmony. For the 1% who can't, there is Space Patrol Delta." Many fans of the series rewatched it because it's the year 2025. For a show targeted to children in the early 2000s, it covers some heavy topics. Sexism, racism, genocide, prejudice, corruption, betrayal, grief, classism, and more. Only upon my rewatch as an adult did I notice them. This is one of my favorite seasons of Power Rangers. The characters, writing, the pacing, and the theme song were terrific. I also love that this cast still gets together once a year for conventions. Did you grow up watching Power Rangers? Rented a Power Rangers dvd from the library and my son loved the bonus episode which was PR SPD. He watched that bonus episode all the time and then I found the mother load - all 38 SPD episodes. Great quality and overall, real solid series.

I love the SPD series! However my dvd came like this. Half of the bottom is just completely broken. The case is very cheaply made and even the disc holders inside are very loose. Discs are in perfect condition but everything around it is really bad. Update post May 30th: Amazon support was kind enough to send enough to send a replacement copy in perfect condition. Thanks!

S.P.D. To me, is the last great hurrah before Power Rangers hit its slow decline. Engaging characters, interesting story arcs, GREAT action, and a lot of fun. However, S.P.D. is again one of those unfortunate packages where it is just the show...nothing more. So get it for your collection, but do not expect much more.

I enjoyed as remember as well.

Good season

DVD arrived a day late, but in good condition. Disc 2 and 5 were scratched on my original copy, causing scene skipping on 4 episodes. So I bought this to replace it. Luckily, all discs worked perfectly. This set contains all 32 episodes of S.P.D. on 5 DVDs. However, there are sadly no bonus features, and the only language option is English voices with no subtitles. Also it's Region 1. As for the show itself, Theme song is pretty good, I like the ranger suits(the Helmets are the best part in my opinion) Doggy Cruger is my favorite character, Megazords are pretty solid, and the Villains are okay. Emperor Grumm and Brudewing were descent villains, despite one resembling the Ghost Rider, or Skeletor, and the other being a guy in a cape, with a plastic tube on his head(seriously). However, I can't stand Mora/Morgana, since she's basically a spoiled brat character(both literally and figuratively), and she's one of the main villains. The theme for this season is a Power Rangers Police force, which was adapted from a Japanese show called Dekaranger. Which I can't confirm if it's the same in the other version, since I haven't seen the Japanese version. Overall, Power Rangers S.P.D.(Space Patrol Delta) is a good season, but not flawless. Still, the good heavily outweighs the bad, and I highly recommend it to any Power Rangers fan. Just be aware of the region, and the fact you're stuck with one language option when purchasing.

Since I saved my money in my chequing account when I already deposited my cheque from my refund, but I ordered it when I already redeemed my $100 cash card, but I finally got that Power Rangers S.P.D. Complete Series DVD, and besides, EntertainmentOne, Hasbro, and Shout! Factory should announce more of the Power Rangers Complete Series DVDs like from Samurai to present.... and that'll be easy as dope....
