Best Leather Restoration Product I've Used
I waited 8 weeks to review my first purchase of Skidmore's Restoration Creme to see how it stood up to our leather sofa. I was also comparing it to 2 applications of Leather Honey. I loved the Skidmore's so much I put it on my subscription and have now used two containers of it! Skidmore's was easy to apply and soaked in with no residue left behind. I have a really old top grain leather sofa purchased second hand that had dried out with lots of tiny cracks and a couple of huge scratches. Sorry I didn't think to take photos of the before and after. Suffice it to say that after the initial application the sofa looked and felt great. The tiny surface cracks are no longer visible and the large scratches are less noticeable. The leather feels supple and has a nice sheen. While the Leather Honey was easy to apply and not greasy afterward, I didn't feel like it lasted very long, after about a month the sofa started looking dry. The Skidmore's held up with no appreciable dryness reoccurring. I applied a second application of the Restoration Creme again this week only because the sofa was so dry when we purchased it. I've have used it on a brand new leather chair (that now looks better than when it arrived) and my car interior. There is no greasiness after application and no odor. Ingredients are natural so I don't have to worry about sitting on toxins. It also works on wood. I collect mid-century wood decor and it does a fabulous job of reconditioning the wood. Have used on a table that had raised grain from a water mark and it helped disguise it considerably. This product is now a staple in my home cleaning supplies and I'm sure I'll find new ways to use it around the house.

Brings dull lifeless wood furniture, etc. back to life!
We have a large puggle named Ike, & he has done a grand job of scratching up all our interior doors (meaning our doors look someone took a cheese grater to them)! In Ike's defense though, the builder of our condo did do a truly shoddy job of staining & sealing the woodwork & doors. It's like they put only one coat of stain on all the wood surfaces & that's it, so just brushing against the doors, etc. causes scratches. Are you wondering where my product review is? Don't worry, it's right here, & Skidmore's restoration cream, well it's a miracle in a jar!!! My before & after photos of my front door, they are the real proof showing this stuff truly works wonders, & even the deepest scratches are improved, so my doors are no longer an embarrassing eye sore anymore! I also waited two weeks before taking my after photo, because some conditioners look great for few days, but then as it evaporates or soaks into the wood, the wood goes back to looking as sad & unhappy as it had before. All I know is Skidmore's is the easiest way I've found to bring my dull lifeless wood furniture, etc. back to life, & with out breaking the bank! I'm hoping SRC works it's magic as well on my leather sofa, which I'll be conditioning next. Update pending... P.S. I have MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivities), & too often products like SRP make me severely ill, but so far I'm tolerating the Skidmore's mild chemical smell without any migraines &/or nausea! Yea, this is a big deal for people like me!

Does a nice job, even on older leather. A little effort required, but worth it.
Used on a leather sofa and chair, really improved the look and feel of the leather. Then detailed an 18 year old BMW with leather interior that hadn't ever been touched. The leather really soaked up the cream, so much so I wiped it down and applied another coat. Wiped that down after waiting an hour and the leather had a beautiful sheen to it and and regained some of the moist, supple feel it had lost. It has the smell of turpentine, but don't panic, it dissipates pretty quickly. Recommend.

Use this in your sofa!
The most amazing stuff ever. I thought my sofa/couch was beyond hope of me ever fixing by myself. I had used professional leather wipes and leather cpr and didn’t see much of a result In the past. They both still seemed to dry it out and I just thought that was what happened. Then I got a bit obsessed due to my upcoming move, realizing I wanted to give it one last try before deciding to get rid of it. I looked at a lot of options. Knowing the wear and tear motorcycle seats go through I thought this might be the best option. I was a bit skeptical because to me the price seemed cheap if it did what it promised. It works! I followed the blog posting online on the Skidmore site being certain not to leave it on top long (15-30 minutes max) and buffing immediately. My husband has a sensitive nose and said it was strong smelling. It didn’t bother me at all. That is why it lost one star. I guess it will bother some. The sofa still seemed a little rough at first in spots but looked beautiful. The next morning it is softer. The site says that to see real results on dry areas you need to do it multiple times. I will be using it as instructed and I am sure I will be even happier with the appearance and feel of my sofa. It is not greasy and does not come off on clothes after it is buffed and absorbs/sets. I cannot recommend it enough. *Please note thay my sofa is already a dark color so it didn’t really darken it. It just brought it back to life.

Ordering more!
I used this on an extremely worn out couch of an unknown leather or vinyl material origin. It was cracked, had dark spots, and had been coated with some kind of red colored liquid that came off just wiping with water! I was very impressed. On the back that had very little damage it made it look practically new. About the front. 1. it helped blend a very dark spot so that it was EXTREMELY less noticeable. 2. I had wiped off as much of the red color liquid as possible, this helped get the rest off and take it back to the original color. 3. It conditioned the material, making it softer, the cracks less noticeable, and the material much more comfortable to sit on. 4. It did not make the material slippery. 5. It goes a really long way and is very easy to work in and buff. Since it can be used on multiple surfaces, I plan to tackle my worn out wooden hutch next! *For reference in my pictures, the seat cushion pictured is the one in the middle. The dark spot was on the back cushion to the far right.*

Leather appearance much improved
I bought to use on a leather recliner sofa that was looking worn. There were spots that are rough and looking worn where your legs touch. I have been using a spray cleaner/conditioner for several years. I hoped a cream would give me better results. I applied twice, letting it soak in. The general apparence is so much better. The leather looks so much better. It’s a dark sofa and where it was looking worn the color remains light but the feel has improved. Maybe if I use it regularly I can keep it from getting any worse. Bottom line this product is much better then what I had been using so I’m happy with it.

Wonderful result
Well, we made a mistake and left our nice brown leather recliner out on a covered patio in the backyard. For about two years. We covered it with plastic and a blanket but it came off sometimes and the sun beat down on it and the cat slept on it too. It took a beating, it was dried out, and totally faded. We didn't think it was repairable. I tried two products one from the hardware store and one from a grocery store. Both for restoring and conditioning leather. Neither worked well. They looked ok while the product was still wet, but as it dried it was dull and washed out looking. So, I investigated on Amazon. Found the jar of Skidmore's Restoration Cream, the price was more then I paid for the other's but still a good deal. It conditions well, brought back the color well and just gave it a restored look. We brought the chair back into the house and are using it. It really helped a lot. I will have this product on hand to condition all my leather products. In total we applied three coats of the cream. Buffing after each application. Doing three coats did not even use up half of the product. Thanks for a good product.

This is great stuff
I have been using the cleaner and conditioner that came with our leather couch and noticed the last time I used it that the conditioner caused some discoloration on the leather. So I needed a new product. On top of that, our new hound dog causes superficial scratch marks with her nails. I read a lot of reviews and settled on this product. I am so glad I did! After one use, my couch looked so much better. The discoloration is still there, but much less noticeable and all of the scratches are gone. My couch is softer too. I also used it on the my wood doors to buff out some scratches and on a bread board that sits on top of my stove. All three things were instantly renewed. This product out did other wood and leather conditoners and polishes I own. It might sound weird, although if you are reading this you are probably a lot like me, but I am excited to see what else I can improve around the house with this stuff! The scent is a bit strong, but I don't find it unpleasant by any means. You can go on the manufacturer website for instructions for use.

Worth the cost.......
Fabulous product although expensive

it doesn't repair
sconsigliato, non vale il costo perché non ripara niente neanche piccole abrasioni, in particolare nelle pelli pigmentate: è una comune crema per lucidare però puzza di pesce
