Does this really work ?

Used it to replace a burnt HD in my CCTV DVR. Plugged it in, formatted it and was up and running in about 3 minutes. Worked great.

Is it 5400rpm or 7200rpm?

I wanna say it was 5400. I replaced it not long after I bought it with an SSD. Just wasn't fast enough.

Is it 7200 at every time?

No; the drive's RPM will vary continually. Under heavy loads it might be at 7200RPM. When it is not in use it may shut down completely.

Will this work with an Elitedesk 800 g2?

Yes, provided it‘s got a SATA interface. You‘ll get the best performance with a SATA3 port, but it‘s backward compatible to SATA2 and 1.
