really like this curl activator cream. It leaves my hair feeling soft, moisturized, and helps define my curls without making them feel crunchy or stiff. A little product goes a long way, and it also helps reduce frizz throughout the day. The smell is pleasant, and my hair feels healthier and easier to manage after using it. It works great for natural curls and adds a nice shine without feeling too heavy. Very good product for the price and definitely something I would buy again.

I am really impressed with this Cantu curl cream. The packaging is very practical and sturdy, making it easy to dispense the product. Guy here. Hair is maybe 2-3" long all around. This stuff is so effective. Before I found this, my hair was wavy and could never seem to actually curl except for very certain circumstances. Would also dry out and frizz over the course of a day. Now? Put just a tiny bit of this stuff (seriously, the amount you'd put on your toothbrush) in your hair, being sure to distribute it everywhere evenly, and good heavens. Hair is soft to the touch (yet doesn't lose its shape/"memory" if I run my hands through it), keeps that moist look all day without feeling greasy and "contains" everything in the process, meaning significantly less frizz and no fluff--but most importantly, it coils my hair into absolutely stunning curls. It also doesn't stain my clothes. Re: smell: the fragrance in it is strong at first, but it smells good, and the smell becomes subtle quick once it dries out, so it's never as strong during the day as when you first apply it (ex.: no one has commented on the presence of the fragrance except my partner, but *everyone* has commented positively on the look of my hair) Also, for reference, this is my only hair product. I don't have a "hair routine". I get it wet, add the stuff, make sure it's spread everywhere, then proceed to go the entire day not worrying about it or checking on it, because it simply works, no maintenance. If your hair feels like it *wants* to be curly, but you can't manage to get it there... this is what you're looking for. It's set-and-forget, cheap (esp. considering you'll get a thousand "servings" out of a bottle) and might give you that look you feel like your hair has always been capable of.

The smell is pleasant, which is always a bonus when you’re dealing with teenagers who are particular about these things. It eliminates frizz effectively and doesn’t weigh down his 2a curls, which can be a concern with heavier products. However, I learned an important lesson about hair porosity with this product. I also tried it on my other child, and it was a completely different story. Their hair has lower porosity, and the cream left a white film that took forever to work through and absorb. It just sat on top of the hair rather than penetrating and doing its job. This experience really highlighted how crucial it is to consider your hair’s porosity when choosing products. For higher porosity hair like my son’s, this cream absorbs well and provides the moisture and curl definition it promises. But for less porous hair, it can create buildup and that frustrating white residue. The product itself is good quality - it works well on various curl types from what I’ve seen, particularly thicker 3b/3c textures, and the 12 fl oz size gives you plenty to work with. Just make sure to consider your hair’s porosity before purchasing. Great value for your money. Not greasy and helps with frizz control and is soft to the touch. A humid day will typically turn my hair frizzy but this product keeps the curls in tact.

works okay. I have shoulder length permed hair and was looking for something to put in next day, third day, fourth day hair to bring back the bounce and lessen the flyaways (not so much frizz). This worked the best on my first day hair. For sure had to reapply each morning (verrrrrry lightly as this is a wee bit on the heavy side). It goes on sort of sticky (you really need to use very little). I can see this being heavy if using too much. It's a pretty thick cream. It smells strongly of coconut, which, well, for me, isn't the best ~ not a fan of beachy scents on my skin or hair. It *does* tend to dissipate relatively quickly, but I can still smell it. My hair is soft using this product. All in all, it's a decent product and the ingredients are good. The price point is really good too. I'm not sure I'd buy it again because of the scent, but this should last me a good while.

To start off, I'm a white girl with very long, fine, wavy hair. This product helps moisturize and define my waves. A little goes a long way for me, and I focus most of the product on the bottom quarter-ish of my hair. I always use way too much of products at one time, so I had to train myself that less is more with this product (for me). It smells fantastic, and feels nice in your hands while applying. I avoid my root area because it will weigh down my fine hair. I use products on top of this curl activator with no issue. Thanks to the Black folks for for their fantastic curl products and techniques!

Utilizzavo i prodotti della Cantu tantissimi anni fa, poi sono passata ad altre marche più famose per trattare i miei ricci e non sono mai stata pienamente soddisfatta. Ora sono ritornata a Cantu e non cambierò mai più! Il balsamo è eccezionale, i prodotti per lo styling anche. Questi in particolare, l'ho usato sui capelli bagnati, semplicemente dopo averli pettinati e arricciati un po' con le dita. Ho abbondato con la crema (cosa che non faccio mai perché odio l'effetto gel secco sui ricci) e i boccoli sono venuti bene definiti e morbidi!!! Non ho riscontrato nessun problema che ho letto in alcune recensioni. Il prodotto e la confezione vanno bene. L'idratazione è eccezionale, considerando che io ho dei capelli molto crespi e un po' secchi, con questo prodotto non mi sembrano i miei capelli! L'effetto non dura per giorni perché è una crema, ma si può rinfrescare l'acconciatura e ripetere il procedimento. Ottimo anche il prezzo contenuto se consideriamo altri prodotti simili di altre marche!

I put literally small amount all over my hair and it's super hydrating and defining for curls . Just two tricks to get best results . Clean your scalp well in the shower & after applying cream and coiling or brushing , put microfiber towel for 30 minutes before diffuser (or leave it longer if you are not going to use diffuser ) . I received lot of comments about my bouncy curls

J’ai testé cette crème activatrice de boucles Cantu au beurre de karité et je la trouve très agréable à utiliser. La texture est riche mais s’applique facilement sur cheveux humides. Une petite quantité suffit pour bien définir les boucles tout en limitant les frisottis. Les cheveux restent souples, hydratés et brillants sans effet cartonné. L’odeur est douce et agréable. Le flacon de 355 ml offre un bon rapport qualité-prix et dure longtemps En revanche sur des cheveux très fins, il vaut mieux appliquer une petite quantité pour éviter d’alourdir la chevelure. Globalement, c’est un très bon produit pour les cheveux bouclés, frisés ou ondulés

Bought this one to try when the one i am used to discontinued, I loved it and it exceeded my expectations, the product smells devine and your hair will smell nice for days, the consistency is thick though and a bit goes a long way, I used a bit too much and my hair took longer to feel normal but once it fully dried it gave the best curls/waves ever. Plz don't discontinue this as I am planning to stock up on it.
