NOW products are always tops
Dextrose., not much to say about it if you are aware of its benefits over other monosaccharides. Obviously the mainstay in fermentation, but great for bodybuilding. Dextrose is a unique sugar secondary to its affinity to shunt straight to the muscle cells, and after a strength training workout, it is quintessential. There are not too many products out there that really work as far as bodybuilding, however, this is one of them. I am 100% there are some that will read this and disagree, but they would be wrong. I personally put myself under strict lab work observation during my assessment of various supplements. What I can tell you about dextrose/ glucose is that the amount required is heavily dependent upon the individual and the workout. Obviously legs require a higher amount whereas shoulders require a whole lot less. I ascertained this by taking serial blood glucose tests (every 15 minute for 2 hours). Yeah, my fingers were sore, but hey…. I got the data. Anyway, anything from NOW is a solid porduct. Nothing of theirs that I tested came up short. Others supplements that I recommend are creatine, beta alanine (get the NOW product, they are they are the original manufacturers of the product and it works insanely), quality MVI, and quality BCAA’s. The rest is garbage that seeks to sell you on good ol’ fashion snake oil. If you are scrawny like I one was, food and knowledge will be your key to get out of that rut. Eat every 2.5 - 3 hrs, especially if you’re an ectomorph.

Amazing dextrose powder
I use this every time I am bulking and it never falls short. You get a LOT of servings for the price that it is. It’s amazing. Very high quality dextrose in a very big container. It has no smell at all and does not have a bad taste. The size is amazing as it provides so many servings. Product came very tightly sealed. The directions are very clear in how much needs to be mixed with water or juice, but you must own a tablespoon first to be able to use it as it doesn’t provide one to you

Affordable sugar for fructose intolerant
When I found out I'm fructose intolerant, and realized that means even table sugar is off the table, I needed an alternative I could afford. This product delivers, both in quality and in cost-affordability. Thank you for making this affordable for those of us who can't have normal table sugar without serious tummy consequences! Most competitors are 4x the price!

Very happy with this dextrose powder and value
Happy with purchase it works great. Tons of energy for a short burst, increased protein efficiency, and it has minimal taste to it. When added to a large water bottle it just barely sweetens it a tad but it isn’t super noticeable and it keeps you energized as you hydrate. I will definitely buy more in the future but that might be a while with how many servings are in this.

It's sugar - you can't really screw it up.
It is what it is - sugar in dextrose form and nothing else. You can't really screw this up. I use it as post workout carb for the insulin spike. I mix a scoop of this with two scoops of whey protein (appx 35g of carbs:50g protein) and it tastes alright and mixes well. It's not nearly as strong as table sugar as far as sweetness goes, and is a finer powder. Only gripe is this product should cost a lot less. It is just sugar. If you live near a bakery or something you may be able to find dextrose from them for a fraction of the cost.

Insulin-spiking goodness at a tremendous price
I purchased this product a couple months ago because I was looking for a way to get my dose of insulin-spiking carbs post-workout. There isn't much too this since it is just pure dextrose, but this product has a tremendous value. Pros: - At around $27 you get over 220+ servings. - It tastes great. - It generally mixes well. Cons: - With great value comes great weight. The 10lb tub is massive and can be awkward to grab from your cupboard, especially if you are a girl and aren't jacked like She-Hulk (ex: my fiancee). - For whatever reason, it has a tendency to clump up when I mix it with my Muscle Pharm Combat protein powder. You have to shake your bottle for quite a long time to get it to not be clumpy and gooey. - Unless it is buried in the bottom somewhere, it doesn't seem to come with its own scoop. Not a big deal but it can be annoying.

Amazing post workout results (high intensity resistance training)
I've known about dextrose for a few years now but the idea of adding sugar to my post workout whey isolate and creating was just asinine. However, after reading countless studies on the effects of this simple sugar, I had to give it a try. The main thing I have noticed with taking this is that it definitely helps speed up my recovery process. I am noticeably less sore and I'm training harder than ever before. I absolutely love the insulin spike that it gives me after my workout. It's almost like a high. If you exhaust your muscles to the point where you feel "the pump" and then take this immediately after, you will literally FEEL the sugars working the proteins into your fatigues muscles. I know it sounds crazy, but I'm not kidding around here. It feels amazing! My post workout shake 40g Whey Isolate - now foods 65g dextrose 5g creatine 5g glutamine After experimenting with this stuff for about two weeks, I'm hooked. The science backs it up. Because it's mainly glucose, it assists in getting the proteins to my fatigued muscles much quicker than any other source of carbohydrate. The only downside to this type of supplement is that once ingested, the fat burning effect that your body has acquired from your workout will cease. This is not that bad of a trade off at all...that's just how the body works. I take mine immediately post workout. It has made my post workout shake 10x more satisfying due to the added sweetness. If you really want to get the most out of the fat burning phase after your workout, I recommend you take this supplement along with a fast digesting protein like whey isolate, no more than 20m post workout. Just my two cents. It really all comes down to modifying your macronutrients. I guarantee you that if you make this your main source of carb, and stick to vegetables, lean meats (sirloin cuts of meat, grilled white meat chicken, fish, bison, kangaroo) and quality fats (coconut oil is my favorite) for all other meals (NO Grains!), along with an high intense resistance training session, YOU WILL BECOME SUPER JACKED AND SHREDDED! Works for me! Don't forget to drink a ton of water! Besides my post workout drink, and an occasional cocktail a couple times a month, water is the only liquid i consume! Thanks for reading 😁
