How do you attach the cushion to the seat?

There is a strap connected to some disks that slide right under the gap between the seat and backrest that helps keep the pad on the chair. The backing in the sheepskin is also slip resistant. This chair pad is great I've been using it at work for several months. This is a special gift for my body for sure😁

Does is add any back support while driving?

I'm afraid it does not add any type of lumbar support - it is not intended for that purpose. The pad is soft enough to comply with the anatomy of the human seat, so as to provide comfort to the region - not support.

Does this add any height? Even just an inch?

Of course it adds height. But an inch worth; no. I can tell that I'm sitting on something, but I don't feel like I'm being boosted or anything.
