Yes you can. It only clips the side. Wireless adapter goes on the bottom.

Do you have to keep it on top of shoulder blade, non slip material or not mine slides down off my shoulder and down my chest, Anyone have a tip?

I guess you want an eye-level perspective if you want it shoulder level. As you may have seen, it has a "wide" velcro strap that I attached to my backpack while hiking and then had it on my daypack when I went bike riding. It held its position well and had no issues except for the knob that clamped to the Pocket. If clamped too tightly it would not allow the Pocket to turn on or function.
