It would have been perfect for me if I could lower seat a bit more

This bench enables my left side disabled wife to take a shower. She is very pleased with it. We do not use the cutout. Seat is less comfortable with the opening and space is to narrow for our shower head. The extra height of the cutout seat makes it easier to move the legs over the rail when the seat is turned.

Shower chair arrived early and was easy to assemble. Very nice. Base width was 47 inches not 48-49 inches. In my fathers application, the extra inch or two would have been beneficial. Did not need to order cut out due to using a sling to transfer him into shower. Sling was in the way for the cut out to be useful. Other than that the chair was worth the money. Swivel seat was a bonus to get his legs into and out of the tub.

Helpful product for post op back surgery. Can be a little difficult to operate at first (a little jerky) until one gets used to it. Very nice for getting into tub safely. My daughter put it together for me very rapidly and made it appear fairly easy to assemble. If you plan to assemble it yourself, assemble and set it up prior to surgery. Practice using it if you have an opportunity also. This would be an excellent product for someone with permanent disability to provide a bit of independence for showering. Big problem however if you drop your soap! Perhaps add soap dish and way to clamp hand held shower nozzle to side when you need to use your hands. Overall great product.
