Eco-Kinetic Projectiles - Training & Recreational Projectile Rounds for Byrna Launchers with Visual Impact Technology - Water Soluble, Easy to Clean, 0.68 Caliber

We used these eco projectiles for familiarization practice at a local outdoor range. They work well with the pistol-style Byrna. They have good range and accuracy. They shoot clean, but disintegrate if handled too much before loading, but fit the magazine well. Be sure to just load the Byrna and insert the magazine instead of holding on to the projectiles. They also break apart once they hit a hard object like a tree.

Bought these for use with my Byrna SD pistol. The balls fit well and shoot cleanly. I am also using the Byrna red laser with this gun. With the laser set for 15 feet (for use in the house), I can place all five rounds from one clip of these eco-balls into an eight inch circle. Generally I think the accuracy is a little off due to the round shape of the eco-projectiles; they're really two halves fused together, and on most the "equator" of each ball sticks out ever so slightly, likely causing a little deviation from shot to shot. The regular hard plastic kinetic rounds are much smoother and I get a smaller grouping at 15 feet. Still, even eight inch groupings into center mass with the regular plastic kinetic rounds should be quite painful for any intruder.A minor complaint is that these eco-rounds actually are quite hard and about 2/3 of them do not break or turn into powder when shot at a hard surface such as a tree or brick wall (from 15 feet), so safety glasses are a must when practicing. I have also re-used a number of these previously shot green balls in the gun with no issues.So far I'm happy with using these for practice. Even newbies should be able to get good results using these with the SD after a little practice.

I have run quite a few rounds through a Byrna SD and they work great.But they _can_ get lodged in other launchers. I have the new Umarex pump-action HDX 68 as well and they won't feed properly and if you chamber one by hand, the one time I tried it, let loose a shower of dust across my back porch. It's a shame cuz otherwise I only have jawbreakers/nylon balls and expensive pepper rounds. The seam on the eco kinetic rounds makes the diameter larger than it otherwise would be, which implies to me that Byrna's barrels aren't as narrow as other launchers are, but it's probably intentional to accommodate these rounds. I wish I had a good alternative for target practice and regular testing and maintenance.As others have stated, regular cleaning and maintenance after use, especially these eco-kinetic rounds, is best practice.

These shoot well with no clean up being biodegradable. However there may be cleanup needed for your launcher as they do leave residue. I didn't count this against it though, seemed logical. I don't see myself shooting these long term though because of this. I'll probably buy the body target and shoot the kinetic rounds at some point going forward. It's just preference really but I'm still gonna finish shooting the rest of these first. Eco rounds still come out hard too, wouldn't wanna get shot with these either so be safe.
