I've been using this light for a few days now during rainy days. It has a nice selection of strobe and fixed light modes, and your last setting gets "saved" after you turn it off which I always find very convenient for any bike light. The light itself is very bright at the highest setting, and it's versatile given the possible ways and sites it can be mounted (a rubber band and a elastic fabric Velcro straps are included with the light). Battery life is as stated and the light can be conveniently charged using the included USB cable. Although of course I'm still not in the position of commenting on long-term durability I can say that I have noticed no malfunction whatsoever even riding with very wet conditions. After you register this product online on the manufacturer's website (it takes a minute) you will get lifetime warranty. I have previous experience with Magnus Costumer Service which I contacted for problems I had with another product of theirs; in my experience they were always very nice and showed me that they really stand behind their product. If anything new will come up I will update this review. For now, I would strongly recommend this product: it's a good deal for a versatile bike light that does its job well.

I have two other bike taillights, and they are both good, but the S100 is certainly the brightest. It is EXTREMELY bright, which is exactly what I want to maximize my visibility while riding. My wife has followed me with the three lights on during the day, and tells me that the S100 is way more visible and eye catching. I own two other Magnus products which I use regularly, the Vision II bike light, and the Atlas headlamp, and they are both excellent. Magnus Gear is serious when they say lifetime warranty. My first product of theirs was a Vision I bike light, and I used it for a couple years and loved it, but one day I dropped it on a concrete floor and damaged the control switch. I contacted Magnus asking if I could buy a replacement switch, thinking that it would not be covered by warranty since the damage was my own fault. To my surprise and pleasure, they quickly sent me a note apologizing for the problem with the light, and I received a new Vision II headlight a couple days later. BTW, the Vision II makes an excellent flashlight -- super bright, easy to carry and long lasting battery -- and I use it on night time walks in the unlighted rural area where I live.

I bicycle 2 miles every evening from the local BART train station to home after dark, and depend on tail light flashers for good, be-seen illumination while on the street. I can recommend this Magnus flasher highly. Its a great value compared to the Cateye Rapid X series costing twice as much, and appears to be just as well made. It provides as much illumination as my Rapid X2 flasher and isvery easy to use. It also has the great feature of the charging light going from red to green after charging is complete. By contrast, the Rapid X flasher's red charging light just simply turns off when charging is complete, leaving you without positive confirmation that the charging cycle is complete. This is a 3 month follow-up report on the Magus Tail Light that I use nightly on my commute home. It failed!! Upon arriving home 3 evenings ago, I discovered that the Magnus had stopped flashing sometime prior to my arrival. When I removed it from my bicycle and shook it, it started flashing again momentairly and then stopped. It is too unreliable to use any longer., and could put me in danger if I rely on it to be seen by auto traffic. (By contrast, the Cateye Rapid X flashers that I also use continue to function perfectly.) No, I would not purchase this product again until Magnus repairs the design flaw. Note: this is the 2nd Magnus flasher to fail on me, and Magnus had been very generous in replacing the 1st without questions or any charge.

Plenty bright on high, blinking mode. I chose this particular light over others because it has a clip to attach it to my seat bag instead of just rubber bands for the seat post. The green LED that indicates charging is complete is a nice touch.

Perfect for my needs.. Bright light ina small package... update.. stopped working in less than a couple hours of use.. flashing features have stopped working.. hard to switch between bight and dim now..

It is the brightest and most versatile rear bike light I've owned in my life. It can even be seen in daylight. The on button is easy to use because of it's position. It doesn't accidentally turn on if you have to throw it into a bag. Mounting it is easy to do. I take it off my bike if I park it because it's one of those things you can't afford to get stolen because it's so good. It can swivel and stay in a horizontal or vertical position which is great. I've used it in pouring rain and have been splashed by passing vehicles. It still works great. It works in sub-freezing temperatures too. It came charged so I could use it straight away (prompt service and fast shipping). It holds a charge for a really long time. Charging with the USB is super fast and easy. I bought it at a discounted price for an honest review.

In 2014, I purchased the original Bold tail light, which I liked because it was small, but didn't like that the batteries were not rechargeable. I had not had any problems with it, but it wasn't as visible as I had hoped. The new tail light is larger, brighter, and rechargeable. I was concerned that it wouldn't fit easily underneath my bicycle saddle, but it fit if the lights was mounted horizontally. A 3-hour ride with a fully charged battery worked without a problem, and only took 10-minutes to recharge. My four small complaints: 1) the bicycle mounting information was unclear (the small piece of paper included didn't clarify how the band connects to the clip and seatpost, 2) I still can't figure out how the strap can be used to attach the light to my helmet, 3) the package has a small warning ("Do not charge over 5v the battery will result in damage"), which doesn't tell me if there are issues recharging will a USB wall charger, for example, and 4) I worry that the small rubber band for seatpost mounting will come undone during a ride and my light will be lost forever. Otherwise, it works as advertised and is much better than my older tail light.

Great light for a good price,the company really stands out for life time warranty on any of its products.I have purchased other lights from them and when something brakes I just contact them and they replace it.This light works great It has different types of modes.I ride early mornings in a very busy street but this light makes me feel seen by the drivers and I also use a bold light just for any precautions drivers in Yonkers Ny don't give a damm about a bike riders. The light it's very bright and easy to use,rechargeable,battery life it's good.I would recommend this product to anyone
