Takuminowaza Japan High Class Stainless Steel Nail Clippers G-1020

For nail tool enthusiasts looking for a straight cut, its hard to find anything out there better than a high quality made in japan cutter. All I can say is wow, domo arigato green bell.

cuts smooth. I guess I have thick nails so American pharmacy nail clipper doesn't do its job. this one cuts smoothly and no flare out on the cut edge. if you have thin nails it may not even make a clipping noise.

In terms of the cutting ability, these clippers do cut nails extremely smoothly and easily. Like a hot knife through butter. The issue I have, which many other people have made mention of is that I owned the previous generation of this exact nail clipper a few years ago, and I bought these as a backup. The clippers are a good 1/3 of an inch shorter now, and the width has been literally chopped in half. The previous generation was about the width of an adult nail where as these are the width of something barely larger then a mini nail clipper many folks travel with. Not only that, but the price on these was $10 more than other very good quality clippers like Green Bell. Do yourself a favor and just purchase a curved nail clipper set from Green Bell instead. Those clippers have remained the same for years and the size continues to be the exact same larger (human nail size) clipper.

They are smaller than I expected but very well made and sharp. I am sure they will last for a long time. I would buy them again. I love that the cutting line is flat/straight and not curved like most.

I love the high quality Japanese nail clippers - do yourself a favor and treat yourself to them. I have ordered several and was looking for a straight cut as opposed to the curved ones I own. An issue with ordering any of these great products is that you are ordering blind - as there is no size description for any of them so you may have to buy several to get the size you like. Being a straight cut I assumed that this would be a toenail clipper. NO. It is very small. Width is less than the cheap drugstore nail clippers - useful for very small hands only, perhaps for child clippers. Great product, but too small to be useful for me. Three stars only because of lack of size description.

Best nail clippers I’ve ever had.

As stated in the title, these Green Bell G-1020 (Takumi No Waza) clippers are not stainless steel. The top and most handled section of the clippers - responsible for opening, closing, clipping motions - is plastic, painted to look like stainless steel. While other portions do appear metal, they seem to be coated and do not appear to be stainless steel.

Very sharp, cut well.

めっちゃスパッと切れます。 「爪切りなんて切れれば良いやん」って思ってましたがマジ反省です。 もっと早く買えばよかったです。

These really are an excellent product, very sharp blades, without the usual curve. Having a straight blade really helps cut the nail properly without cutting too close at the edges. The best part of these is that they are sharp enough to leave a smooth edge, filing isn't really necessary.

It's really sharp and the build quality is pretty good. It says `made in Japan` all over it, even if it is not I'm pretty happy with the quality.
