You can use this product on anything it is completely food safe and yes it will help squeaky doors I use this on my water filters to keep them from getting stuck so they're not so hard to take apart when it's time to change them

This review is for Haynes Silicone Grease, Food Grade Sanitary Lubricant, Machine Lube, Prevent Valves and O-Rings from Sticking, 1-4oz Tube Silicone Grease HAYSG Tube Clear. Let me start off by saying this is a giant tube. I did not realize it was going to be this large of quantity. I only needed a tiny amount for some sink faucet gaskets I replaced to help them last longer. Since this was being used for potable water, I looked for something that was food grade and made in USA. This fit the requirements. I've had this applied for four months now on faucets that get used multiple times a day, and so far, everything is great.
