Amazing Sound at a low price (2018 update: and Durable)
2018 August update: One full year later and still working. Nor many of my prior earbuds can say the same. Here is the original 2017 review ... These days the under $50 headphones have been getting better and better, so when i saw this well rated $40 earbud discounted to $20, I decided to take a chance. I have poor tolerance for bad earbuds and have tossed out more than a few pairs rather than let them ruin my music. So for $20, I figured it was was worth taking a chance. When I tried it, my reaction was Wow! This is good, very good. It reproduces great music that is loud and clear. In fact, it's louder than all of my other earbuds. It hit's the highs, the midrange, and some of the base . Most importantly, the singers voice are sharp and clear. Even at $40, it would be worth the money. So what does doesn't it do?. You noticed I said "some of the base." It gets enough bass for easy listening and you'll definitely know it's there, but it wont shake your head, rock your socks, or kick your boots. A few of my other headphones get more bass. However, for under $50, I have to trade off something, volume, clarity, highs, mid-range, or bass. If you want to get all of this, you'll need to buy a Bose Soundsport Pulse or another $200 earbud. (I haven't tried all of the pricey buds, but I just tried out the Soundsport Pulse this morning. I'd love to have one, but it's way outside my budget.) 2018 Update Orignal "good earbud should last at least a year. If it doesn't make the cut, I will update this rating." It's August 2018 and they are still going strong. It made the cut.

Great sound and material
I found these earbuds when I was searching for Koss earbuds, which are cheap and great quality. The Betron YSM1000 earbuds also showed up in my search and I read the reviews on Amazon and online and they came with a high rating 4.5 stars and above. So I decided why not try these out and I am glad I did. The material is solid quality from the connector to the earbuds. Many times the connector to your phone or computer gets worn out over time from plugging in and out, but these have a solid built that I am confident will last a long time. Ok now on to the most important part, the sound. When I first used them the bass was a bit high, but after adjusting them on my phone, which is a OnePlus 5, they sound is as good as any of the earbuds $50 or higher. It never waivers from listening to music, watching a movie or a podcast. Another nice thing is they come with a nice pouch to store them in and extra ear pieces, not the flimsy ones the other companies give you, but foam and plastic ones of different sizes. I like the foam ones because they fit well and buffer out the outside noises. Of course I only have had them for a few weeks and my star rating could change, but as of right now I give them 5 stars.

Nice earbuds for the price
Decent. Worth the cost. It's nice they include a pair of memory foam earbuds. To me that is a huge bonus because the other sizes they include are your typical flimsy plastic or what ever material they are. I can never seem to find a pair to fit my ear properly besides the memory foam ones, so that is greatly appreciated. I bought these to listen to asmr and music occasionally when I'm about to go to sleep. I can sleep on my side with these, but I think that's because of my pillow. I have a very soft pillow so my head kinda sinks right in. I cant say the same if you have a stiff pillow. Or maybe you have a shallow ear canal, who knows. All I can say is, they work wonderful for what i needed them for. As for sound quality .... its .... alright. These are not exactly expensive earbuds, you get what you pay for. But they are nice and heavy, and feel of good build quality. The bass is also nice and thumpy as well. All n all a decent pair of earbuds for the price. Only reason I didnt give this a 5 star is because of the cord. The cord itself strikes me as very cheap and over time will become brittle. I've owned these for a few months now and no issues. But I am also a light user. I cant say the same for someone else who might use these for exercise or are a bit tougher on them. The cord just feels of cheap material. Everything else feels nice and solid though. Once again, great product for the price. I would definitely buy again if these broke or were lost or stolen

Great look but the sound is just OK.
I've had these for 5 days now and I will say the physical presentation and materials are good, the sound is ok and the quality (longevity) is far too soon to tell. They look and feel great, especially at the price point. They fit my ears just fine and come with a few different sized tips. The metal construction looks very nice. I like the weight of the cable used. It doesn't look all wavy/bent when you take it out of it's packaging like some thinner cables sometimes do. The cable is also somewhat translucent so you can see the twisted wires inside which looks nice. I find the sound of the headphones to not match their visual appeal. My first impression was that they seem more efficient (louder at the same volume level) than several other in-ears that I use, but the sound is not as clear. The highs sound a bit muffled as if you are listing to music through bedsheets. It's not terrible, but I wouldn't call it good. The bass is muddy and not well defined. I think if you were to pick these up and have nothing to compare them to and/or you are not someone who tends to over scrutinize the nuances of sound in your headphones, you will probably like these just fine. I did find that after exclusively wearing these for a few days at 30-60minute intervals, they started to sound a little better. I wondered if they were truly breaking in and sounding better or just getting my ears accustomed to their sound. As soon as I put in my other headphones I confirmed that I was just getting used to the sound. They still lacked clarity and have muddy bass (to my ears). For the price, they're not bad. If you can do without the good looks and just prefer better sound (from the opinion of this reviewer) I recommend either the Panasonic RP-HJE120 or Panasonic RP-HJE125. Both are inexpensive and while they sound different from one another, I have a hard time determining which I prefer. I do have other in-ear headphones that are considerably more expensive that also sound better but it's not a fair comparison considering the difference in price. I've read other reviews with concerns for the build quality and specifically issues with the screen material coming off. I've only had mine 5 days so it's far too soon to know if mine will have the same issues or not. So far they look as good as when I took them out of their box.

Perfect airplane headphones
Purchased these to use for watching movies on airplane. Very happy with them - they are comfortable, sound is good and when they fit in the ears correctly, they blocked out a lot of the airplane noise. Comes with extra ear pieces & a nice little case for traveling. Definitely worth it.

Best Budget Earbuds, Period
I've ordered 4 sets of these little guys, both for my own devices and as gifts to fellow music lovers. The sound is gorgeously balanced for such an inexpensive pair of earphones, and the cable is very easy to keep tangle-free. The fit was perfect out of the box for me, but there are lots of options for other ear sizes. The plug is solid and connection is snappy and confidence-inducing. They're as easy to use as any wired earbuds, and if you're not using an amp, they protect your ears really well. Couldn't recommend these enough!

Great earbuds, with clear and balanced sound, and excellent build quality, value and price.
So I used to be a professional audio engineer and I've used some good headphones before. My first impression of these was the mids were pretty clear, especially for the price point. I thought the bass was a little flat sounding and sounded to roll off around 120 hz or so.. after a couple days of listening the bass started to come out more. So there was a little bit of a break in period before the sound started to improve even more. This reminded me of some nicer pairs of headphones I've had in the past. I also realize that if the bass was any more pronounced it would make the mids more muddy. The highs are crisp but small sounding, which is to be expected from earbuds. Resonant peaks in music are pronounced in some frequencies, but not that bad..I am very impressed with the overall build quality. They definitely do not feel like cheap headphones and are probably some of the nicest earbuds I've had at any price. As far as the comfort, the covers that are on them straight out of the box were the best for me. I tried the smaller size and the other type that it comes with but found the larger ones to fit in my ear better, the silicon cover had to kinda break in as well and became more comfortable with use each day, or maybe I'm just used to them now. All in all, these are great earbuds and I would recommend them to friends.

Surprising quality
Solid earbuds. Quality wiring. I was surprise that they sounded louder then my previous brand. I think they have a good range of sounds in general. They are a bit cold because they are metallic. Not sure if it's the right thing to wear in cold weather. The 1/8 plug is a bit big but very solid. Impressive for the money. I hope they will last long.

Beats the competition in every regard
Bought these as a replacement for my Sennheiser CX300IIs which gave up the ghost less than a month after the warranty expired. I was going to go with another pair of them but I really hated the asymmetrical length wires, so I decided to give these a go as they were cheaper (by £5 at time of writing). Firstly, these look really cool, way more interesting than your standard single-colour earphones that most companies provide. The main cable is see-through and has red and black wires intertwined along its length. They look premium and have a good weight to them, solid enough to feel expensive while not being too heavy as to be uncomfortable. I've actually received a few compliments and inquiries about them from friends while out and about. The packaging is great; these come in a cardboard case which is cool if you're into saving the planet but is also a billion times easier to get into than the plastic vacuum-packed affairs typical to other brands. They come with a fantastic amount of different sized ear pieces too in case the standard the default ones aren't the right size (I believe 4 extra pairs?). The default ones fitted me perfectly, however (with the Sennheisers I'd had to use the larger set that came with them), as well as a clip to attach them to your shirt and a rubber carry pouch, which I found to be a little small to fit them in properly but does the job fine. I initially found it difficult to work out which earpiece was which as while they do have 'L' and 'R' on each, it's written on the reflective shiny gold part just below the body of the earpiece which in daylight is impossible to see. Fortunately, there's also a coloured ring around each that can be used for identification as well (blue for left, red for right). Sound quality wise, these are outstanding. Perhaps it's because they fit my ears better than previous 'phones, but I found I was able to hear detail in songs at much lower volumes than before (e.g. echoes and reverb effects): excellent external noise reduction. Contrary to what other reviews have said, I did not notice a significant increase in bass presence than with Sennheisers, if anything they seem to have a better EQ mix (I listen to mostly blues and rock and similar genres, though I have tried dubstep and heavier music to check). Having used them mainly for walking to/from uni every day, I find the 'cable noise' caused by the wire bumping and rubbing across clothing to be very reduced, so much so that combined with the snug fit, I can listen to music at a volume only 3 or 4 notches above 0 (Android phone, Google Play Music app). I expect in the long run that this will be good for my hearing. Downsides? The only thing I've come across in my month or so of use is the straight connector end, I find it digs into my pocket and could get damaged more easily than a right angled jack. However, it's still a robust unit and I imagine it'll survive for plenty long enough. In summary, I would highly recommend these headphones as an affordable, high quality product that easily matches its more expensive brand name rivals. Definite buy.
